This now very successful actress who can sing grew up as a child star. She told our source about a time when she was a young girl and was so tired she wanted to take a break from acting and take a nap. Her parents refused and worked her until she was cranky and crying. The parents were so upset by her refusal to work, they took her in the car, drove her to the nearest mall and left her there in the parking lot. Because it was cold where they were filming, she sat inside a department store dressing room and cried until a woman finally found her, contacted security, who contacted her parents. The parents showed up two hours after security called, grabbed their daughter, and took her back to the set. In spite of being so tired, she was so terrified of being abandoned again, she went back to work and didn’t complain.

But would Momsen be considered very successful?

I think it wouldn't be blind if it were Momsen because this is the type of thing she'd talk about openly. ScarJo totally fits being able to sing and being a child star and is very successful now.
What about Shannen Doherty, just to throw another name out there? I don't think of her as a "very successful actress", but she sure was a child star and she just had that book come out.

Fishsticks Paltrow is a good guess...but I can't Blythe Danner being that cruel. I just can't. Momsen's too obvious. ScarJo can BARELY sing and KStew...it doesn't fit.

I understand the complaints about forgiveness toward Lilo but not Momsen and ... has it occurred to anyone that this might be Lilo herself? She's not "very successful" now as an actress but she has to have A+ name recognition, and she definitely sings, and she definitely was a child star, and her parents are FUBAR, and, just to have one more and, it's not just Momsen who has a repair-her-image campaign underway. Why wouldn't she "leak" a scoop like this right now?

I don't think this is a child of famous parents. The cruel way they treated her to force her to work makes me think it's someone like the Lohans who have no shame in milking their children for every penny they are worth.

i think it could be lilo. i looked up some imdb, and she used to be on another world. i don't watch the show but filming locations do include new york and canada, two places that could obviously be cold.
ive never heard her sing but if you guys say drew has sung, she has filmed in jersey, new york and north carolina.

Repeat: neither Lohan nor Momsen are "VERY SUCCESSFUL ACTORS". Lohan for obvious reasons, Momsen just got let go from "Gossip Girl". And even before then, I wouldn't have called her "very successful".

I thought Reese was from New Orleans? her dad was a doctor and her mother was a phd in nursing. Southern mamas can be pretty fierce.
Reese's mom is a labor & delivery nurse here in Nashville. Not the type to treat a child that way.
Reese is from Nashville and she went to a private school with industry kids. SHe also was not a child actress.
I stand corrected. Though Reese was born in New Orleans, she was raised in Nashville. She was born in 76, but had her first acting job in 91 at 14/15. I am hopping on the SJP train.

It is not Reese. I know her parents. They are intellegent, good parents. Reese went to Harpeth Hall--not a school of "industry kids" but an upper crust private girls' school in Nashville.

Actually, this sounds like 40% of child stars. Patty Duke's fosterparents beat her to get her to perform. Robert Blake was locked in a closet for days until he agreed to work. Kids in the business have few rights.

Totally think it's Kristen Dunst. I remember watching her in Interview with a Vampire and wondering how they could possibly film some of that stuff without it scaring the little girl in real life.

Whether or not we like the person saying this, if it is true, this is child abuse and abandonment. The parents should have been arrested.
This is something that came out recently, in therapy at maybe rehab?
The story was too good to respect her privacy. So it comes out and we begin to understand why they are so needy and unable to function.

LiLo might be able to sing, but who really knows?
I can see her parents doing this to her, but I still say it's Momsen. I didn't say I have no sympathy for her, I just said we've already heard it. Her people are trying to weaken the negative perception of her by blaming it all on her parents--not a bad choice, since she is still an adolescent and since her parents do kinda suck a little.
But then, didn't we all think our parents sucked when we were 17?

My first thought was Abigail Breslin. Her last movie was Janie Jones and she sings in that, and I've also seen a couple of articles about her doing a live performance too. It seems like she's been working since she was a fetus and she's been in some pretty successful movies...wasn't she nominated for an Oscar for Little Miss Sunshine? Anyway, I don't really know anything about her parents, but for some reason I thought of her.
