Diddily Piddily Wants Clean Ice And $45K

When Diddy's tour hits New York next week, he wants to host an after party. No problem right? Well, it is when you want $45K to host a party. Yes, Diddy believes if he shows up at a club he is worth $45K. Not going to happen, and apparently clubs in New York don't want to pay. Some club in New Jersey offered to pay, but Diddy does not do New Jersey.

Oh, and if you decide to fork over the money you also have to satisfy his rider which has one of the strangest requests I have ever seen. He wants clean ice. Do people usually give out dirty ice? Is there some guy who inspects ice? How do you get dirty ice? Freeze it in mud? I personally like some good dirt in my ice. It's roughage. Don't laugh. When you don't eat vegetables, you want roughage.

Some old ice machines are kind of rusty and that is probably what he's talking about. Maybe that rust is a source of iron, so there you go Enty.

Touring on WHAT? This guy has never been a decent rapper, and unless I'm missing something, he doesn't have anything to tour on other than a few old songs and the new single (which is awful). Who goes to SEE this windbag??

I'll give him $45, a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 and some ice from the gas station down the street...if he'll shut the fuck up and go away forever.

Worthless fucking talentless leech. He's a great businessman, but he needs to stay BEHIND the scenes.

Blech just reminded of a time we went to a new bar in town and ordered mixed drinks. One of the guys I was with called my name and he was holding up two ice cubes which were frozen around someones hair (there was enough hair outside the ice that is what he was holding the ice up by) now THAT is dirty ice. When we called the owner over she thought it was funny. Also while we were there the owner let her new dalmation pup come into the bar and guess where he went to get a drink? yep ice machine. They didn't stay open very long

I remember a long time ago, some kid did her science project for school on the ice machines at fast food restaurants, and she found that the water in the ice machine contained more bacteria that the water in the toilets at the same place. Gross.

I now order my drinks with no ice.

If you go to The Smoking Gun - clean ice is regularly specified.

Janet Jackson even says "NO FISH ICE" and notes that if she wouldn't need to write it if it hadn't actually happened.

I'd be saving up all my excess saliva in mason jars and taking it to work each day if I were one of his household employees. That's all I know.

1. If Diddlly Poo can get 45K for showing up, just like Snooki can get 35K for acting the fool, well, that's capitalism for ya.

2. I am now going to check all my ice. Ewww.

I don't know why but I took it to mean he wanted clear ice, ice that looks like glass, ice that looks like it's shot for a photo spread ad of some beverage -- as opposed to frosted ice. It just came to mind that that's what he meant, and it would make life just that much more difficult for whoever is tasked with getting it just so.

LOVE the comments! LOL! And Lauren - thanks. I think I'll go the way of my husband and son and not take ice.

I learn so much here.

Apparently no one else ponied up the cash because Diddy IS doing Jersey: http://4sixty6.com/files/REDCARPET_eFLYER.jpeg

I've been seeing these ads and flyers non-stop. I've been to club 4Sixty6 and it's in the middle of the burbs, and very much not worth a $40(!) cover. This place is trying to make a name for itself with parties 'hosted' by Chris Brown and the Jersey Shore gang but trust, but it's in the middle of nowhere.
Diddy, your star is plummeting. Welcome to the Garden State.
