Melanie Griffith Is Going To File For Divorce
Apparently Melanie Griffith has heard the rumor that Antonio Banderas has not stopped cheating and is still seeing one of the women really seriously and is going to file for divorce. Melanie wants to do things her way and is expected to file for divorce first. Attempts at trying to reignite their relationship and marriage have failed and Melanie was prepared to do a David Arquette/Courteney Cox thing and not rush into filing anything, but then heard Antonio wanted to file because he wants to be with someone openly and doesn't think he can do that without filing for divorce first.

I hate hearing about him cheating. When he was younger, he was the very definition of sexy. I never understood why he fell in live with a woman with Melanie's level of baggage, but that is why I don't like meeting celebrities in real life. Sometimes the outside doesn't match the inside.

I think Antonio has put up with a lot from Melanie over the years with her insecurities, alcohol and drug issues for the sake of Stella. But Stella is older now and can handle her parents going their seperate ways. At least he used to be discreet with the cheating now he just don't give a flying fuck.
That giant Antonio in a heart tattoo Melanie has is going to be a bit awkward when she goes on first dates. She might want to get that lasered off.

They actually lasted longer then I thought they would. Again, we are not inside the marriage, so shouldn't judge. No, cheating isn't a good thing, but from the sounds of it, their marriage has been over for sometime and all that was left was the paperwork.
However, if you marry a man who cheated on his ex to be with you, the chances are pretty good that he won't be afraid to do it again.

@dia papaya, What a weird coincidence. Imagine a Spanish Lothario living with a coke-fueled blonde from LA! That's like a recipe for disaster -- and yet they kept at it for so many years. I always admired them for being in love and going through all the chem dep stuff together and still being committed to making it work. Well, until now. I wonder if it's reparable.

In spite of the foolishness of being with a cheater, I kind of feel sorry for her. Melanie seems like a wackadoodle but I am sure it was hard for her. She appears to have some seriously awful judgement.
I thought they had it together - they weathered a lot of storms. I've never understood them as a couple though, probably because I really like him, and really dislike her, as far as their acting goes.
Melanie held on tight, despite everything, and Antonio certainly put up with a lot from her as well. There must have been serious love there at one time. Divorce always makes me sad when you know they really worked at it and didn't just quit when things got rocky. But considering everything about these two, they certainly made it a long time.
I call it the Marla Maples Syndrome: Don't be so shocked when your man cheats on you when you hooked up with him when he was still married (or committed) to someone else!
There was a BI awhile back about a foreign-born celeb cheating with young women and I guessed Antonio, but I can't find it now and don't have time to look.
