In the beginning of the vid. He says "You punched me once." She "It didn't hurt." He" No, it did not, but you punched me in the face." and then the set up. they were both trashed and the guy that walked away no doubt thought offering another beer was the distraction.

If you listen to the beginning of the video, he is chastising her for hitting him first.

I can't watch this (violence on women is not good for me) but there is no way a guy should hit a woman for any reason.
Something B Profane said last week (?) unsettled and stuck with me. He said that solid punch from a full grown man could kill a person. Not hurt a person, KILL a person. My Mr is a foot taller & weighs 100 lbs more than me, and his hand is the size of my face. If he punched me, he could actually kill me. If I punched him, I'd leave a bruise but the only way I'd kill him was if I punched him in the throat. (He's a giant teddy bear, so no fears.)
A few years ago, I saw a scene from the Sopranos (the only scene I've watched, guess why?) where this guy finds out his girlfriend is pregnant. He takes her out to a parking lot and beats her to death. I mean, you hear about it, you know it's possible, but to see it like that...

Clearly at the beginning of the video, like others have said, he says she had already punched him. He then gave her the opportunity to punch him again. Just because he said she can punch him, what makes her think it's okay to do that? I wouldn't even consider it, even if someone was asking me to!

No. But not just because she's a woman: because she's another living being. That being said, she shouldn't have hit him, either -- and she hit him twice for no apparent reason. In Australa a killer one punch is called a "King Hit". Sad that it is common enough to have its own appellation. One good punch is enough to knock out most people. Death usually means there was something specific to the victim.
My Dad taught me the basic rules of fighting, hit hard, hit first, and aim for the nose. I have only had to use the advice once against two idiots in Amsterdam who thought they could mug a 6'1" 235 pound drunk. If they had a gun or a knife I might have handed over my wallet...

This happened to me in college, but without the drinking. I said something I thought was innocuous but a girl punched me in the face. I punched her back exactly as hard as she hit me. I was called before a faculty committee and threatened with explusion and I demanded they explain to me why the girl was being given preferential treatment? Before they could answer I told them to answer carefully because I was on my way to the Princeton police station and then to the Princeton Packet (newspaper). They "scolded" me and told me physical violence was not acceptable. I said "Tell her."

When she was sober, I would be the house that she never would have done this. You can see her play with him at first, like she's saying, no, I won't do that.
