Random Photos Part Three

I already did a Your Turn which is too bad, because now I want to ask what your favorite Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks movie is. Mine is Joe Versus The Volcano. Seriously. It always seemed like they were making movies together. This was the opening night of Tom Hanks on Broadway.

Also there were Martin Short and Spike Lee.
Huh. I think BIC lighters just came up with their new campaign.
Brad Pitt takes Knox out for a spin. lets him drive.
Meanwhile, the rest of the kids at least are wearing helmets.
Brad Paisley promoting his new record.
Britney Spears returns to Los Angeles.
Anna Chlumsky and her baby bump.
At the same event was Shia LaBeouf and
Robert Redford.

SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE! I adore the scene with his wife (Rita Wilson) where Tom & Colm go all off on what it would be like if men acted like women while watching war movies. I laugh myself silly every single time.

My Girl is back! Where did she go for so long? Reveal?

Meg Ryan, wtf????
Robert Redford used to be my huge crush, ironically when he was in a movie with Meg Ryan, his hair, I just can't.... Another wtf!

Beyonce makes me want to vomit. I'd rather be stuck in an elevator for 1 hour with AnnE than spend 5 minutes with Beyonce. That's saying a lot.

I adore Martin Short.

Meg Ryan used to be so pretty. Seeing her now makes me sad.

I love Robert Redford, but what's going on with his hair?

Has anyone seen the Rob Zombie remake of Halloween? If so, don't you think Knox Jolie Pitt looks like the kid who played the young Michael Myers?

Alicia said...

Robert Redford is still lookin good.

I know te general concensus on Shia is no bueno but if
Mr Alicia would give me a pass I would drink whiskey and do dirty things with that man. Locked in a room for three days straight.

Oh Brit, don't ever stop with those flip flops

Martin Short is all " Whaaa ?? You took Difficult Brown to a Knicks game?? "

Sleepless in Seattle fo life. I just loved Jonah .. He is the cutest!

Watching You've Got Mail always amazes me how far we've come tech-wise.

OT but Jezebel has a funny article up
How Hayden Panettiere Avoided Ending Up Like Lohan and Bynes

Sleepless in Seattle FTW!

But I love Clifford more than any Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks movie. Yay for Martin Short!

I think it's funny how a baby would practically ruin your career back in the day now it's Hollywood CPR

I read an article where Hayden said she preferred athletes because they fit her active lifestyle. I shit you not.

I like You Got Mail. It has Chapelle and Steve Zahn!

I agree gmg- I'm over BeyoncE (auto correct and I love it!)

Sorry, not Colm, Victor Garber.

It's cool, the Jolie-Pitt kids are just playing bumper bikes.

I looove Anna's shoes.

I was reading through the comments on that Hayden article and they totally bring up Himmmm's story about Hayden and her parents. And of course CDaN.

Is Redford wearing a toupee? Whatever that red animal is on top of his head, it's not doing him any favors.

Jessie said...

Sleepless in Seattle if only because of the memories of watching it over and over with my sisters and listening to the soundtrack during long car trips with the family.

Chlumsky is on Veep - if you've not seen it you must! Great comedy.

Lotta I followed all the links, wild stuff!

Meg Ryan and I have the same exact hair cut and color. Probably the same original face shape, but hers is very altered now.

You've Got Mail - which I saw on a first date with a guy I met online :)

Chicky said...

Meg looks nice - if a little shiny - looks like she have up the lip injections...

Britney!!! What's in the notebook?!?! Fellow notebook junkies want to know!!!

Notice how Brit is in the airport with her kid and is not freaking out on the paps. Halle should take notes from her.

Yay I still love Anna chlumsky, I want more pictures and gossip on her. When is she going to make her comeback.

I think it is almost a tie between Sleepless in Seattle and You Got Mail as they each bring up different memories for me.

I love the Pitt kids and how they look like they are always having so much fun.

Really looking forward to Brad Paisley's new cd.

Robert Redford will always be my Johnny Hooker, Sonny Steele, Henry Brubaker,Roy Hobbs, Tom Logan, Tom Booker but about above all my Sundance Kid lol. The man just oozes sex appeal and charisma.

Unknown said...

Anna currently co-stars on Veep on HBO the show is very funny. Julia louis dreyfus(sp) is the star.

Now! said...

@Flora, I thought the same thing! And Britney is certainly a much bigger star than Halle.

Paul Newman aged so much better than Redford has, at least visually. But I give Redford props for getting out of the aging-leading-man ghetto and starting the Sundance Festival.

Meg Ryan must have the worst plastic surgery ever. At least Madonna's chicken cutlet cheek implants settled, and she looks more or less normal now. Meg still has that shiny-new-plastic look. She looks like she'd melt if you held a cigarette lighter too close to her nose, à la Lucille Ball.

I know most people think it sucks but I agree with Enty I LOVE Joe vs the Volcano. In fact I'm going to look for it on Netflix tonight. Meg used to be so pretty I loved her as Pam in the Doors movie I always thought she was so pretty with long hair.
Also loved Inner Space although no Hanks.

Della said...

Mr. Booker I did long for you but OH SH!T lose the hair piece.

I am also noticing Britney traveling with child --no drama!!

I want to ride motor bikes with the Jolie-Pitt clan. Looks like loads of fun. Lucky kids.

I feel really bad cause I lol at Shila's foot brace.

MalibuBarbie said...

Redford needs to lay off the red hair dye and plastic surgery...he's beginning to look like a member of the 'Famous Celebs Who Look Like Old Lesbians' club - of which Paul McCartney and Bruce Jenner are founding fathers.

I love Sleepless in Seattle, because it's got Rosie before she went all nuts, and it's just sweet and it makes me cry every time. Siiighhhh. I loved Meg and Dennis and Martin in Innerspace, a great romantic/comedy/scifi mashup that it was. Only Martin could've made that last bit work, with Meg and Dennis as his straight men. Tom, eh, he's Forrest Gump, and I love that too.

ethorne said...

Lolol @Malibu-Steven Tyler has a membership card.

Izzie said...

@Della, LOL all you want! I had to wear one of those fugly things for about a year before and after my foot surgery and laughed at it daily. Doc gave me a fancier one that looked like something out of Blade Runner but took 30 minutes to put on and take off. Take care of your feets, peeps!

auntliddy said...

Yeah, wth landed on redfords head??!!

Sunny said...

@Jenn
My 2 favorite lines from Sleepless in Seattle are from Rosie!
"You don't want to be in love. You want to be in love in a movie!"
"It's cute. It's like a little clue"

@lizjaxe
Veep! I think it's back next week! (P.S. I just watched your fave show Cougar Town at the gym yesterday. It's funny!)

Sleepless in Seattle, but I also love Joe Vs. the Volcano too. She *was* just darling looking then. I was re watching When Harry Met Sally and I was thinking how gorgeous her face and eyes were. So pretty. One of my favorite Meg movies is Prelude to a Kiss with Alec. LOVE that movie and she is radiant in it.

Sleepless in Seattle! Can't get enough! That moment at the end when they see each other is beautiful.

REDFORD: GO NATURAL. Everyone knows how old you are!

I think Meg Ryan looks like herself -- if you look at old photos, she's very similar to what she looked like before her sad "tweaks." She does look a little Botox-y, but for someone in her 50s (I think?) I think she looks pretty good.

You're just damned if you do and damned if you don't in Hollywood.

Lucas said...

Brad Paisley is a wizard with a Telecaster in his hands.

Brit Brit is lookin' MILF-tastic there.

Sleepless in Seattle.

califblondy said...

If a movie is ever made about the Madoffs, Meg would be perfect as Ruth.

Redford could wear a purple Mohawk wig and still be hot in my book.

jaariel said...

Ah, Shia has a boot on his foot. That means he's on more painkillers. Should be good for more fuckery from him.

Someone needs to gently remove that shirt from Brit. She's been papped in it several days in a row. And it ain't cute at all.

Don't care for a single Hanks-Ryan flick. I do like When A Man Loves A Woman though.

I will always love Martin Short! Jiminy Glick is a masterpiece.

Looking good, Brit.

I love Robert Redford.

a.k.a. The ruination of CDaN.

Unless you realized he was full of shit, of course.

Joe vs the volcano for sure. The part where Tom is dancing on the trunks wins it. And the orange soda of course!

Pip said...

Meg Ryan looks fucking horrible. What the hell did she do to herself?

PS said...

Oh Meg. For sh*ts sake. You busted your own mug!

Halfsicilian said...

Joe vs. the Volcano. It's a seriously underrated film. One of my favs of all time! Go Enty!

Comma Chaser said...

All three are great, but the gun-to-my-head answer w/b Sleepless in Seattle, mainly because that's my hometown, and also because of a couple of long conversations where a couple friends of mine picked apart about 30 continuity errors in the scene where Meg's character follows Tom's character with his son in a boat. Great romantic comedy, indeed.

AlexT said...

Now that I'm almost 40, I think I'm going to lay off Meg Ryan. Yeah, she jacked her face, but you can't blame her. A gal just is not going to look like she did at 30 when she's 50, and imagine all the heat she must have gotten once the wrinkles started coming. The poor thing looks like she must weigh 100 lbs. just to retain that pixie pizazz she was famous for. Her hair is super cute here, though.

Speaking of hair- I know that Redford is famous for his touselled coiffure, but at this point I kind of want to sneak up on him with an electric fan and see where that hairline actually ends up. He looks like the world's oldest boy bander.

Brit Brit change your clothes and take a damn shower. That's the same outfit (minus the flip flops) that she wore to Walmart (dlisted has pics) and she looks as if she hasn't showered since!

Aw... Tom and Meg, reminiscing about their old faces.

Joe Versus The Volcano is the one for me.

You've Got Mail for sure. When I was in college I loved to go to that part of Riverside Park all the time to "study". (people-watch and daydream.)

Big NYC love for Spike Lee. Summer of Sam was my college years.

These two movies conjure up dear memories for me.

Naomi said...

It's tough getting older in Hollywood, and sometimes plastic surgery doesn't take so I'm not so hard on Meg. She is - sit up and listen everyone - a perfect example that men don't leave for looks but for what someone brings to the table. Mellencamp left Elaine Irwin, who was a 12, for Meg. A refreshing change I might add.

AKM said...

"That outfit's wearing you, Felix."

"I have no response to that."

I could play this game all day.

"Once I read a story about a butterfly in the subway, and today, I saw one. It got on at 42nd, and off at 59th, where, I assume it was going to Bloomingdales to buy a hat that will turn out to be a mistake, as almost all hats are." That line always made me smile. And Joe Fox telling the kids to wave to NJ. "Hellloo, New Jersey!"
