RDJ was really good. So was Helen Hunt.
I like Gwynnie's hair color there, and she wasn't bad, but she looked way too you to be an expert on ANYTHING.
Agreed. Helen hunt would have been pretty awesome in that role. Goop would have been better off auditioning to play the granddaughter.
RDJ, Helen Hunt and Nicole Kidman were good-could have totally seen Helen in that role. Brad Pitt is pretty but not impressed with his acting.
I saw this last week on ABC and the tapes are misleading; it makes it seems as if this is their first audition when most of them such as Nicole and RDJ were already established actors. Nicole had a few films under her belt and RDJ had quite a few under his. He was aditioning for Backdraft and he almost got the part but Steven Baldwin looked more like Kurt Russell's brother.

RDJ was good! The tears welling up in my eyes made me remember how tough of a time he had it for a while there. Makes me want to wrap him up in a soft fluffy blanket. Helen Hunt would have been great in that role. How in the hell did Goop get an Oscar??? Can someone please explain? Oh that's right, she played herself, an awkward, blond white girl, not hating, that describes me, but no, actually I am hating, the acting was atrocious in most of these clips. Brad Pitt? Holy Cats bad, and Goop made me wonder how they even got in to acting in the first place( Mom and Dad are/were in the biz appparently). Reinforces the idea that acting is more about looks and the star vehicle which perfectly suits your natural personality and mannerisms/background. I'll never look at Brad the same way again. He looked like a complete himbo. no eloquence, no brains, no personality= no hot

Brad Pitt was terrible in his audition but utterly gorgeous.
Goop had her old nose and hair color. Helen Hunt and Laura Dern were kind of interchangeable for that Jurassic Park that role; they probably flipped a coin to cast the role. Leo was so cute back then. Now he's all creepy and corrupt. :(
I know I'm defending Brad, but it looked more to me that he either had JUST been handed those lines, or he didn't care enough about the audition to memorize them. At that point in his career, the former seems more logical. jmo
God Damn. RDJ and Pitt were beautiful then! RDJ is still smokin', but dayum they were pretty! I forgot!
