Amanda Bynes Is back In NYC And On The Edge - Prescription Pill Shopping

Honestly, if you told me at some point this weekend that Amanda Bynes died, I don't think I would be shocked. She flew back to NYC last night after spending the day in LA. One of her few friends from fashion school said that Amanda called her looking for the phone number of someone who sells drugs. Amanda can get her own pot, but she wanted something harder. She was looking for prescription pills. I can't imagine Amanda being stable enough to combine pills, booze and pot and not have something happen. The only support system she has are people who want free stuff and there are very few of those because hanging out with her is not fun at all. I still can't believe her parents just gave up on her.

Yeah that "friend" couldn't possibly be lying to get money/attention right? Who cares.

CoBe said...

What do you want her parents to do?

GspAD said...

Give up on her? She's grown - almost 30!

Unknown said...

Maybe he wants them to do shock therapy or perform a lobotomy

FSP said...

I miss her wig.

But why did they cut her loose from the order? Why did her mother say she didn't have a mental illness, that pot caused her to go nuts? I don't trust those people.

Unknown said...

No parent should give up on their child. You brought them into this world you need to see it through to the end. Chances are if your child is fucked up its your fault anyway.

Kno Won said...

Wow, what a fun 'friend'! Was it a three-way call? Even more friendly. With friends like that, who needs therapy?

Will Drake Finally Murder her Vagina? That's all I want to know!

And yes, she's 28 years old. An autonomous adult, which means she can refuse anything she wants if there's no court order.
I get very irritated with Judgy Enty. Do you even google, bro?

Damn Enty, I HATE when you post things like this, it's like an omen!!!!

FIDM is a lame ass school. Beautiful campus, stupid students, Everyone there is just trying to pull their 15 seconds of fame. They will throw anyone under the bus. I know, I used to be one of them. Luckily, I got out with my brain still intact.

Yolanda, you're a lucky gal.. What was your emphasis and do you use your degree now?

Miss Mandy,

I have about 8 vicodin if you really need something. Couple other various pills and some ampules of valium. Get in touch via the email in my profile.

It will take me about 1.5hrs to get up there, depending on traffic. In the mean time, please go get an enema to prepare for our rendezvous.

Hope to hear from you soon.

All we and her parents can do is wait for the crash landing.

For those of you that think being a parent requires you to give til it hurts, has never had a kid that has knifed you so hard in the back, you never recover. At some point, you have to cut yourself some slack, know that you do all you could and turn that shit over to the adult child. We aren't talking about babies or teenagers here. Full grown adults that are responsible for themselves. As a parent, you cannot force them to "be good" and when you try, nine times out of ten, the kid will cut you off. Trust me, when your kid wants you out of their life and puts their mind to making it happen, you are powerless.

Ms B'have said...

Maybe Amanda wants to take advantage of the drug delivery services in NYC.
Tailspin!!
This can't end well; hope someone is able to intervene before it is too late.

I think it's weird that her parents seem happy and don't want to get involved.

Pink Cashmere said...

Me, too. Talk about being in denial.

Unknown said...

Crazy probably just runs in that family.

auntliddy said...

Sarah, they do seem a bit removed from her sitch, yes. And they are older parents-in 60's i believe. Mb they hv dealt with this for 30 years, are out of ideas and options and just want some peace. I try not to judge parents in these situations because u usually hv no idea what they tried and not tried. Now if her parents were blabbing shes just fine, that wld be another story. We as a civilzation shld really be spending time and miney researching the brain, how to map it and rewire it so you dont have addiction, mental issues, psychotic behavoir. Imagine how much less stress wld be on society.

Unknown said...

I agree with you. No bueno.

Rosie riveter said...

Y ou are an asshole Enty. Your post makes me want to vomit.

fedwaymom said...

Yes I agree you .once your children are grown they might listen to your advice but they are adults and will decide for themselves regardless of your opinion.

I'm reminded of a friend's sister who spent almost three decades on a downward spiral, ods, suicide attempts ...

Incredibly selfish girl. Sucked all the energy of that family. When she finally oded no one was all that broken up as she'd truly died decades before.

You can't compel an addict to behave. If she wants to get baked and haver her genitals murdered by Canadian rappers there isn't a thing anyone can do.

Habibti said...

She is 28. They cant hold a gun to her head and tell her to stop being a druggie. She has to do that herself and I can guarantee you she wont. She will die with a needle in her arm...the only question is when?

Bluezz said...

Entern is all flustered from the vapors & wringing his hands over Amanda's well-being & criticizing her parents for giving up on her.

And yet In his next blustery rage, he rants about Britney Spears & how Daddy Spears is squeezing every last dime out of her.

There's a commenter here by the name of Lisa who has explained til she's blue in the face about how the conservatorship works. She's the conservator for her son. And it's no walk in the park.

For all the criticism that Jamie Spears has had to bear, he didn't abandon Britney & for the most part, she seems happy. Britney suffers from mental illness & will always face challenges, but she has the love & support of her family.

TMZ is reporting that Amanda Bynes has been diagnosed with schizophrenia & bi-polar issues. How they know what her medical history is, I don't know & I find it incredibly invasive of her privacy.

While I'm uncomfortable making a judgment, my thoughts have always been that Amanda's parents are in denial of whatever issues she may have been diagnosed with.

I don't have the facts, but I question why Amanda's mother gave up the conservatorship after 1 year. It's going to be much harder to try & get another one as opposed to having the current one extended.

CDaN's commenter, Lisa, has explained just how much paper work goes into a conservatorship & how many hours she spends doing that ON TOP OF caring for her son.

Mental illness & proper meds/treatment don't just magically get handled in the span of 1 year as Amanda's parents seem to indicate.

Maybe people will be a bit kinder in their comments where Britney's concerned when you observe what's going on (or not) in Amanda's situation. Regardless, I hope all parties continue to get the proper care they need.

Angie, I understand the gist of what you say. It's tough. Not everyone is sane, normal. I met the parents of Ted Bundy once. Broken, sad don't begin to describe the pain they were in.

Tina Mallette said...

The only but here is if she is truly mentally ill, and she has the addictions on top of that she is a danger not only to herself but others. Like the guy who stole a snow plow and killed a cop in Toronto.

Unfortunately the law only reacts most of the time after it is too late.

Tina Mallette said...

I mean it was setting a fire that put her into a mental hospital in the first place.

Unknown said...

Many, many parents of adult mentally ill children finally just can't take the disease, it's affects, and trying to get the ill person to keep on their meds, drs visits, blood tests. People don't realize that for mentally ill people their illness can be almost as time consuming as a full time job. As the parents age or one is sick their is a decision to just let the person go, just figuring that the justice system will eventually become involved and force medical compliance. Hence all the homeless people, and the fact that jails are often filled with 70% mentally ill people not getting the correct meds or any meds at all, it's a failed system if a system at all. It's a horrific system and one I blame on Ronald Reagan who destroyed our mental health programs and hospitals in California and then went on to destroy them nationally - we now have a society that can't even begin to catch up to helping those of us who truly need help. What is being done to the mentally ill in prisons and jails all over the country is simply one of America's greatest shames. Reagan and his personal war against the mentally ill changed our country forever.

Seven of Eleven said...

Completely agree with Bluezzz.

Tina Mallette said...

You can't always blame the parents, the same family can have 3 normal kids and one that isn't and assuming the parents treated them all relatively the same the problem is the kid was born with genetics that sent him or her in a different direction. Sometimes you almost think there is such a thing as an evil seed - as in Ted Bundy.

I think people still do not appreciate the genetic component of mental illness and thus blame the person with the issues. No one has an issue about physical diseases that are genetic.

The science world has only scratched the surface on how the human brain functions.

VeronicaCostello said...

Addicts can be incredibly manipulative. I have first hand knowledge of a 37 year old man that has been in and out of rehab, jail, psych wards, has been convicted of vehicular manslaughter, and every time he appears before the judge he gets another shot at rehab--and stays clean until the parole commitments are met. Guess what happens then?
Yeah, at a certain point you just have to save yourself.

Tina Mallette said...

Unknown it is not just the US, Canada has done the same in terms of reducing mental health facilities when they should do the opposite. The other problem however as I said in another thread is that civil liberty activists pushed for changes in the mental health laws have made it harder to commit a mental patient vs their will. Well I am sorry but to me the problem is a community wide issue, these people are not just a danger to themselves but others and I'd rather not wait until they hurt someone to commit them.

There's one of those causing chaos for our family as I type this. Mentally ill, a pill popper and alcoholic. Won't listen to anyone who isn't an enabler.

Most of the family washed their hands of this one, because all they want to do is make people "pay" for imaginary wrongs that never happened.

It's sad, but when people make it clear that they don't want help, you have to walk away or go down with them.

What parents can control a self destructive adult drug addict? Did Heath Ledger's parents get blamed? How about Robin Williams's family?

keetz4 said...

I am convinced Bynes is an entitled brat who is sucking all the energy from concern trolls. Amanda, Count has Vicodin......go for it.

Flora Goforth said...

I don't think her parents washed their hands of her. I think they are just as delusional as she is. It will most likely take one or two more episodes and/or hospitalizations before they accept that she is mentally ill.

__-__=__ said...

Agree jack ducky. They pimped her to Schneider which only exacerbated any existing issues. They need to take responsibility before there is collateral damage.

I did see a show on Canada TV about Dr. Robert Hare talking about identiying and treating mental illness before babies are born. I can only hope US is doing something similar.

In this post- Brittany age I imagine some expect her parents to pull a Jamie Spears. Yet no one expects this for Shia Lebouf whose behavior is as troubling but he's make.

M. Brown said...

Male.

auntliddy said...

M brown, no mo one expects that because his mother is nutty as a fruitcake. Raised him in some sort of communeal living sitch, routinely paraded around naked in front of him and had sex with other men with him there. Shes still like that. Thinks nothing of it. So, no, no one expects anything from her. Father is mia. Explains alot about Shia tho, doesnt it?

auntliddy said...

Ok just googled. Father was not mia. He was psyd viet vet, who was by turns abusive and caring- once holding a gun to shia's head- and grew and sold drugs. And was heroin addict. And smoked and drank with shia. He sure didnt hit the parent lottery.

Lo Key says stop with the censorship already! said...

Holy shit, I had no idea about Shia. Poor guy :(

M. Brown said...

Eh that's horrible.

Thank you Dr Steve. I try. Any chance you could call in a script of xanax for me? She may not be a Vicodin girl. Pharmie chicks are so specific in their desires.

If Miss Mandy & I do hook up, I'll certainly take pics. I won't share them though, as NJ's revenge porn law is pretty tough, but I won't be able to help it if hackers figure out my iCloud password is 8uttluvr69.

@Keetz: Thanks for puttin the good word in for me.

If she was being cared for and taking her medication then she decided to stop both then both her life and it's consequences are hers and hers alone. I am washing my hands. Plenty of people trying to get better and there is no sense worrying about somebody who just doesn't care enough to stay healthy

Angie said...

Sadly, it's not just addicts that make their parents pay for imaginary wrongs.

Can't believe mama Bynes denied her mental disorder and took her off her meds. Anyone who sends their kid to Schneider knows they'll end up damaged goods. Ariana is a slutty bitch but i feel bad for her insecurity which makes her act so weird about that right side of her face, and her hair.
