Does anyone have either 6 yet? I plan on going to store ASAP to see which fits better in my hand. I want the plus but not if it's awkward. I'm so excited!!!

The 6 plus is far too big, in my opinion. Moving from the 4 to the regular 6 is notably larger, though much lighter.
I was about to "meh" on iphone but I left my iPad at class Friday and reality forced me to use my ASUS lap/tablet. I can't wait to get my ipad back!

I'm almost 100% sure I'm going to get the new Note. If Sprint puts it on a payment plan deal, so it is like $30/month and $50 for service. That way in 2 yrs, I will only pay $50 for service, instead of $80.
Phones have pretty much stagnated. Lil better camera, lil faster processor, no big Earth shaking advancements, so I think locking in on a phone w/ innards equivalent to what the iPhone will have in 2 yrs is a good deal.
I've managed to survive without any kind of smart phone so far.
18 months ago, I bought a prepaid TracFone dumb phone in a lightning deal on Amazon. It's my only phone. No camera, no web, no apps.
The phone and 2000 minutes cost $200. I haven't had a phone bill since. Based on usage to date, that $200 means an average phone bill of <$7.557./mo. Over two years, I'll save $1738 vs. the Count's plan. And I bet the Count did not include all the taxes and regulatory fees they load on to cell phone bills. Cell phone bills don't usually end in round numbers.
And we'll both own outdated, valueless technology at the end of the two years.
Right now, I don't need a smart phone. But if I do, I'll go with the cheapest Android that TracFone has to offer and research how to minimize the data usage.
There's no need to run up bills of the order that the Count is talking about. And from what I know from talking to anybody who has a smart phone, the Count is being fiscally conservative and spending less than most people.
The easiest way to save money is to reduce your monthly bills. The savings could go to paying down credit card bills (likely the highest-interest rate debt you have) until they are zero.
Imagine a world where you have no credit card payments and a $7.70/mo phone bill. Take it a step further: imagine you put all that extra cash into paying off the car loan.
That's my debt-free world, and I like it.
Google gave me an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Nexus Android phone two years ago as a thank you for a project I did for them.
At the time it was worth $600 - I considered selling it because I didn't think I needed a smart phone but I'm so glad I kept it.
I pay $50 a month for T-Mobile with no contract, and I have all the data and minutes I need.
Additionally, I can use the phone as a portable wi-fi hotspot so I got rid of my cellular plan on my iPad and just turn on my phone as a hot spot and surf the internet on my iPad.
I am self-employed doing very specialized events with a primarily tech-savvy clientele, most of my events are outdoors and they require me to be on-line to track participants, so I do need the smart phone and iPad for work.
I have no desire to upgrade the phone however; two years after they gave it to me it still meets all my needs.
I'm having issues with the new OS making things clunky and it scaring me that they're trying to make it crash so I have to get another one..Too cheap!!
Oh and yes, on T-Mobile I pay $50.00 net - that's a round number that includes taxes and fees. My previous plan with Sprint had tons of taxes and fees larded on, on top of the base price. I prefer this way.

I use the smartphone features too often for a "dumb phone". GPS Navigation and Email are worth the extra cost to me. Camera and Internet are gravy. I could take or leave apps though. Only 2 or 3 I use on a regular basis.

Pip..also switched to Tracphone..use my tablets for everything, so it made sense. Mine was, I think, less than a hundred dollars and a year's service..so basically free. Takes pretty good pics, internet, text. Good battery life too. I admit I always wonder about those Apple lines..always looks like the same bunch of 20something guys who line up for super hero films
@kelliknows: What model phone do you have? I know I will have to cave eventually. Half the public parking spots here are already "pay by phone" and a dumb phone can't do it.
@Count, it depends on where you live and where you drive whether you need GPS. I was in awe a few days ago when a cousin was driving me to a DC-area airport and his phone-in-a-holster gave him live Google maps of traffic routes and quicker ways to get to BWI. If I lived somewhere like that, I'd definitely consider the use of a smart phone. I'd also consider moving.

@Count: You don't need to pay $80/mo for GPS, and you can get email anywhere. Am I the only person who drives a 10-y-old car? I thought everyone else had GPS.

Anon..it's an LG 840, but if I gave the impression it's a full smart phone I'm sorry. Has extras, but pay by phone isn't available, don't think. I watched a couple reviews on YouTube before I got it..still a good deal for me..only problem I've had is syncing Bluetooth..works with one tablet not other..oh well.
