"a self-centered, bitchy control freak" means "a professional" to the non-whining "the help" (expression learnt from the other BI). No big deal for most of the people should be this way and not junkies, stoners, cheaters or whatever disgusting group that most are these days.

You never fail to disappoint, Kermit, you're always an ill-bred, poorly educated douchebag. Surely you can do the world a favor and wander into a grease fire.
I'd take working with a bitchy control freak who was good at what they do over over lazy bastards who skate by on rep, connections or whatever and suck at what they do and expect everyone else to carry their lazy ass. This is about work right?
Ed WHO? Sorry, I've never heard of Mr. Grizzly Bear or whatever-the-hell his name is. I'm not a huge Taylor Swift fan, but I admire where she's at and what she's done, career-wise. The music "business" is not such a nice animal and a young, 20-something female has managed to grow her career and make herself an International household name all while navigating the pitfalls of the American music landscape. Is she calculating? I'd say she or her team are very savvy, as in Marketing and public relations savvy. She is undoubtedly protective of her image and subsequently careful of who she allows around her. Meanwhile according to The Daily Mail: "On hiatus: Droste's Brooklyn-based indie rock band hasn't released new music since their fourth studio album Shields in 2012. Grizzly Bear has no upcoming concerts, but Edward's bandmate Daniel Rossen will be performing a sold out gig August 26 at London's Union Chapel."
Meanwhile, Taylor is in the middle of her sold-out 1989 World Tour. So Mr. Droste can suck it. Maybe he could learn a lesson or two from Taylor regarding the "business" of music, something that he seems to currently be on "hiatus" from.
Has Taylor pissed off some people along the way? Certainly, but if you spend time giving two shits what other people think about you, then you are moving backwards. Obviously her fans are enamored with her and ultimately those are the ones, listening to her music, buying her albums, going to her concerts, and purchasing merch. In my opinion, Taylor will continue to churn out hits, please her fans, and make money hand-over-fist while Ed Droste will continue to sulk in his hipster studio apartment in Brooklyn lamenting about how the "corporate greed" of the music business keeps down independent artists such as himself. In 5 years, no one will remember Edward Droste's name and Taylor Swift will continue to win Grammys and accept other music accolades.
