Well, that's your prerogative, but I can't think why anyone wouldn't at least explore it as an option. I've got one natural and two adopted. If I am truly honest, and very few people are when it comes to children, I wish I hadn't had the bio child. Raising the adopted kids is far more fulfilling and the love I have for them is purer because it's not based on the biological connection. Of course they may grow up to hate me, but that's the risk we all take with sprogs.
