Today's Blind Items - The Crush Gone Bad
I suppose this show is a hit show. It has been on the air and almost air for awhile now. The thing is though, it is suffering from a lot of behind the scenes drama most of it featuring the star of the show. The show has been littered with cast changes throughout its history. If you are a female you are fired if you get more attention than our star. If you are male you get fired if you do not kiss the star's butt enough. One of the cast members who was always safe is this married A-/B+ list mostly television actor. Our star has had a massive crush on the actor which has kept him safe. Apparently the level of crush though has reached unacceptable limits to the wife of the actor and he bailed on the show. Just up and left which has caused our star to have some serious meltdowns on the set even when she is happy and bubbly off the set for cameras. What was a once fun place to work and a great job has turned into a huge chore and it feels like everyone is out looking for any other job than being on the show for another season.

Jennifer Todd, Chris's GF is a major producer. Mindy really shouldn't piss her off.
I don't think this is Mindy Project. Chris Messina isn't married and they really haven't had a ton of casting changes. All of their main players have been there since the beginning.

I think it is Mindy and Ike Barinholtz. and her botox and fillers are as bad as the show....it used to be cute, now it has run it's course. He and the supporting cast are the saving grace.
I don't watch New Girl. Is that show still on, and has it had a lot of cast changes?

same here. the mindy project is in its THIRD SEASON, that isnt long-running at ALL!
Mindy Project has gotten rid of A LOT of characters. You've forgotten the sudden disappearances of the actresses Amanda Setton and Anna Camp
Thats still on and the original cast is still intact.
TMP is heading into its 5th season. Also, Chris calls Jennifer Todd his wife and wears a wedding ring. Good enough for me. And Chris definitely left suddenly, so much so that he's now just a recurring guest star instead of the (arguably) male lead.
There are no other TV shows that were on the air (Fox) and are now on the almost air (Hulu) that fit the bill.
If it's Mindy it's time to face reality and be realistic about your love goals.
It's Mindy Kaling. The NBC/Uni legal department even had to intervene. It's the reason Messina's character has been reduced nearly to nothing, after he requested not to have his contract renewed when the deals were being renegotiated in the switch to Hulu.
Mindy Kaling retaliated by directing the writers to turn the Danny Castellano character into a hateful ogre. Chris is just glad to be gone.
Matt Warburton, the head writer, spends most of his day kissing Mindy's ass, but he can barely stand her. Warburton has a new wife and a mortgage, and doesn't want to lose his job.
It's a nightmare set. Everyone's on the phone to their agents, trying to land a better gig.
Why doesn't she just pay a rent boy if she wants a hot white b/f? Setting unrealistic love goals is not cute.
