Lens. Who claims to be such a feminist but her outpourings all have to do with shallow things that all come back to the insecurities about her looks. Ugly on the inside, much worse than the outside.
Either Lena Dunham or Amy Schumer. Both as bad (and unfunny) as each other.

Dunham is a talentless, entitled, self-absorbed nobody. She's as compelling as wet cardboard.

Only an upper crust, narcissistic, millennial could make an entire series about her struggles with anxiety. Just another day for the rest of us.
Old enough to be her grandmother, and seldom, if ever, have harsh feelings for people I don't know, but with her, I make an exception. What is it about Lena Dunham that strikes hatred in people who don't know her? Never watched her show. Never read the stories about her. She is a 'type'. Stereotype is better, In my many decades I have known a lot of women like her. Worked with them over the years. Knew them through mutual friends. Remember sitting at meetings and social events watching them cut people down, demean others, make all the wrong jokes. And they would get away with it. She is a very, very lucky person. In an industry that worships beauty, she has none. Her 'talents' are groundless. When her series ends and the phone doesn't ring what is she going to do then? Something tells me there are enough women like her out there who will jump in and save her day. Magazine? Tabloid? Production? She is the dark side of the business. The side people pay millions to cover up. She just got careless and too cocky and exposed herself. Most intelligent people already suspected what she was long ago.
I still think "Girls" was a decent show.
agree; and also she is not w/out talent. she is a solid writer. i believe people are predisposed to not liking her because she is not conventionally attractive AND has a big mouth. and that's just wrong -- it's really quite misogynistic.
Loathe Amy and Lena - don't find either funny or relevant and I've tried to watch their shows:/
What Lena needs is a good stylist that will put her in flattering clothes. Then she needs a personal trainer to tone up her doughy body.

Both of them claim to be feminists, but all their comedy revolves around the fact they aren't very attractive, can't get a man and are overweight - not exactly feminist comedy.

Amy was hilarious on the Comedy Roast circuit and- that's it.All this since then with the exception of the 1st season of Inside Amy Schumer, totally unnecessary.
It's nice to know that I'm not alone in not being able to stand this woman (Lena). Entitled, stuck up, nowhere near as talented or intelligent as she thinks she is, and frankly awful to look at...and these are some of her better points.

The show is entertaining but not realistic. It's like a modern version of Friends except they are fatter, have more tats and are seen naked more. Neither group would have been able to afford their apartments or lifestyles in real life. Lena strikes a nerve because of her entitled behavior which is normal for her ilk. She's the Mary Hartman/Louise Lasser of her generation-- soon to be in "what ever happened to...?" land.
I believe some people are simply predisposed to disparaging anyone who doesn't share their personal viewpoint.

My disdain for Lena Dunham is long standing and well documented and stems from the fact that she gets paid to exhaustively belabor the exact, incessant, self-absorbed nattering I hear every time I open my office door. Every time I'm in an elevator, in line at Starbucks.....millions of ordinary people manufacturing uber angst over trivial bullshit minutiae that every other human manages to endure every day, everywhere. It's like reading a tweener's Twitter feed. No depth, no nuance, just emo without eyeliner.
And yet, how quickly you were able to make a snap judgement complete with labels with absolutely no information!
It's utterly breathtaking how completely oblivious you are to your own spectacular hypocrisy.
