About a decade ago, I attended a charity function here in LV land.
The charity threw a big party at a casino because 'someone' was donating $250,000 to the retired NFLer's charity.
Later, the former NBA'er, who invited me, told me that the donor's check bounced; and the retired NFLer was so pissed at the wasted money for the party.
I felt bad for the charity, but, hey, if they didn't vet the donor guy before arranging the party, the blame is on them.
Sad this happens, but phonies always try to be big shots!
