I dont think anyone, anywhere on this planet thought the 13-15 year old girl was writing her own lyrics. I don't even think most mainstream musicians write their own music either.
Not saying she's mainstream, but she has a decent following.
Most commercial successful music is co-written...by the actual songwriter plus the artist and whoever else gets to claim a songwriter co-credit as the price for getting the song recorded and promoted.
I can't believe I am saying this but I like her. She doesn't take drugs, she doesn't look like a skank, she paid her mums house off, she actually has a brain when it comes to all the bullshit. I don't think it's ideal for a young person like herself to be thrown into the limelight but she actually sounds better than half this soundcloud rappers out there. If she stays on the right track she'll be okay.
Ps of course she isn't writing her own rhymes - I dont think anyone thinks otherwise.
Whomever is choosing her songs and producing her needs a raise. Her material is actually really good, as hard as that is for me to type.
