I think MadTV had the advantage over SNL of not being live, they could reshoot or dump bits that fell flat. Plus better writers in general. ;)

Samantha Brown already did a few shows like that and bonus: she’s actually charming and appealing.
Those traveling shows are all over public television. Nothing new.

Why don't they just title this show more honestly? They could call it, "The Audition".

I expected MADTV to be as crazy/funny as their mag. Really disappointed, don't think it translated from print to video.
