This cult classic horror film (#1) that turns 30 next year is often noted for its similarities to another horror classic from the ‘80s (#2). That’s because the writer (#3) of that ‘80s film was an uncredited ghost writer and creative consultant on this one. His fingerprints are all over it.
The credited writer of the film (#4) will also never publicly admit his original script was inspired by the tabletop game (#5) to which it is also frequently compared, as the publishers of that game are notoriously litigious.
