Today's Blind Items - Saved Her

This musician was A list way back in the day. He was also A list on network reality television at a time which is turning into back in the day. One of the things he also did way back in the day was save this one hit wonder from a situation she was in. She was part of a group which was A list at the time. The thing is though, she wasn't an official member of the group so got paid per show or when the whim struck the leader of the group. Most of the time she had to sleep with him to get a few bucks just so she could live even though she is what made their big hit a big hit. Her manager was more interested in sleeping with as many young men as he could find to sign to "development deals," rather than helping out his client. Plus, he also managed the group and they were a hit and she wasn't.

She was offered a deal but would have to work with the guy from the group she hated. Enter our musician/reality star who not only got her a great deal and great people to work with, got her a song which is the type of one hit wonder song you can milk for an entire career and she has. It was the most played song the year it came out. She never had to be put in that kind of sex for work/pay kind of situation again.

  9. these moderated comments are even worse than that awful site redesign from back in the day

    1. +1! I'd rather comments weren't moderated and we all agreed to ignore the troll (who would soon get bored). But I do know it must be 1. Horrendous and 2. hard to hold back when you're being targeted and harassed like that. So for Tricia13's sake I will accept out moderated fate!

  15. I was thinking Nicole S. with Travis Meeks / Days of the New, she started out touring with them and singing on their LPs but never was officially in the band

  16. @gauloise, well you can thank a few a-holes here for that since their getting out of control is why we are in this predicament. A few threads turned into Tricia bashing etc over and over. Ridiculous. Aren't we all adults here?

    1. It wasn’t just them, towards the “end.” LOTS of people were fighting with each other. Check out any past blinds about the royals. Enty gave a warning & people blatantly ignored him.

  17. Rob Zero got it! Just checked Harris' Wiki page and it is all there.

  18. Who said she didn't work ? If it's Dione Farris, she performs live. Milking a hit means she can get booking because everyone knows the song.

Rob Zero got it. "I Know" was the most played song of the year it was released.

  21. "these moderated comments are even worse"

Don't blame Enty. It's because of the troll, who uses multiple aliases (including the most recent, Doxxing Queen), who is relentless in insulting and hounding Tricia13.

  22. Yah. I definitely have been coming to this site less and less. Probably a good thing actually haha

  23. I always liked Randy Jackson and now I love him. I am trying to find a clever way to add dawg to this comment but just cannot find a way. Oh to be a quick wit...

  24. @eowyn you mean Jen =D

  25. Good for him, whoever this was.

  26. @Eowyn not blaming anyone, just talking about user experience. I stopped visiting after the redesign not because I didn't like the content but because it was frustrating. I am feeling that way again, not frustrated but its just not fun without the interactivity

I know about the infighting, it's just a shame.

  27. As Enty had explained, the problem is CDAN's blogging format is Blogger. Unlike WordPress, where the site administrator can ban (blacklist) specific commenters, Blogger doesn't enable that. So Enty's only option to block obnoxious commenters like the individual with a legion of aliases (Derek, Doxxing Queen, Dont(something something), is to "moderate" all comments.

  28. I like reading the site troll free. No one should be subjected to the abuse Tricia and others were.

  29. The mobile site is impossible to leave comments on. I have to switch over to the website and even then I have to renter my info every day. Now I go through all this and I can’t even see my comments posted. And yet people are allowed to post ridiculous guesses that can’t even be technically possible just to smear celebrities they don’t like.

Remember in grade school when a few kids did something really bad but would not admit to it, so the teacher punished everybody?
Yeah, that's what happens in comments sections today.
This is better than TMZ where you cannot write the word "Hell" without the mod-bot catching it.
Doxxing is wrong and if anybody was really doing that to commenters they disagreed with, they should be banned.
I've had a few people go off on me big time when I said something they didn't agree with...I mean way out of proportion to what is normal. I don't check the box e-mailing replies any more and rarely go back and re-read so that solved that problem.

  32. @Buddytesla, that's always been this sites deal. I'm not sure what this places purpose is, besides smearing celebs you don't like, lol.

I like this blind. Nice to see some kindness in a storm of unrelenting misery on here.

@kiki71, if people did not argue with the trolls it would not have gotten as bad as it did.

    1. THANK YOU!!!! I kept saying, please ignore them! Attention seekers like attention - whether good or bad. But noooooooo, everyone’s egos ran amuck and here we are. 🤷🏼‍♀️ The stupidest pissing contests I’ve ever seen. Between the “main show” and the ensuing drama between certain people on the Royal blogs, this site’s cons outweighed the pros. Now I just browse for a couple blinds that look interesting & move on.
On a side note: I’m getting more things done, the less time I’m on here. 😂

  35. Yes, trolls are bad and that Derek person deserved to be banned for doxxing/harassing but certain long-time posters were not exactly innocent in the matter.

    ReplyDelete
  36. They won't stop. Narcissists seek supply like insects seek nectar. Any mention of them is filling their tank.

The comments will either continue to blink on and off like automated traffic lights, or the hosts will have to go to a site where they can IP ban. But, I'm sure the troll(s) are using VPN.

A little internet forensics might be worth the investment.

  37. The moderation sucks but I get the reason why. And yes, some long time posters got fed up. But remember it wasn't just Derek harassing Tricia for a couple weeks. This has been going on for something like 12 years. I hardly ever post but I even posted some not so nice comments. I think Tricia handled it pretty well considering.
