Stay Classy San Diego - Anchorman 2 Is On The Way

Someone in Australia was smart enough to corner Will Ferrell at the premiere of his new movie Land Of The Lost and ask him about the possibility of an Anchorman 2. Well, for those of you who enjoyed that movie, Will says there will indeed be an Anchorman 2.

"Yeah we're trying to figure out when and how we should do that. In fact, I think next week we're going to meet with all the guys and see if we can actually pull this off."

Will ideally would like all of the original cast back in the sequel including Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd. "Because especially with Steve and Paul, they're in different places with their careers it's a lot harder to get us all together." That said, he thinks he can pull it off and the thought of them all getting together next week to talk about it sure starts getting me excited. Yes, I know Hollywood needs to come up with original ideas, but I am perfectly fine with franchises like this. Are you going to turn down another James Bond movie with Daniel Craig or the Wolverine sequel with Hugh Jackman just because it is not a brand new idea? Hell no. So, let me have my Anchorman 2.

Most people don't know that "San Diego" is from the German for Whale's Vagina, lol.

I think we should turn this into a "best lines from Anchorman" comment list:

"Milk was a bad choice."

yes, i'll turn down another james bond, another wolverine AND another anchorman.
shitty movies from people with no ideas. when they start making some movies with good stories about people (not superheroes and cartoon characters) count me in. for now, no thanks.

If we're going to do the sequels anyway, could we please combine Anchorman 2 & Zoolander 2? Now that would be a kick-ass movie.

OH MAN Mooshki! You are singin' my tune, sistah. Love those movies.

I think this is a fantastic idea and I would definitely watch it.

Now, I heard they are remaking "Flight Of The Navigator". NOT cool!

"60% of the time, it works every time".
That's my favorite quote from the movie.

Lol just remembered this gem:

"I am going to take your mother out for a nice seafood dinner and NEVER call her again!"

They should move to NY and run as the national news crew.

damn it, harriet, you took my line!

this would be great if they can bring back the whole cast, since it's one of the few will ferrell films i still like. he's just turned into a parody of himself these days, i feel.
but steve carrell, i've even watched evan almighty multiple times, and it sucks. love steve, but for some reason i've yet to see "the office". i know, _I_ suck.

I won't turn down another Wolverine even after they butchered the comicbook to make the first one. ( Yeah I'm a great big geek.)

I generally like Will Farrell movies, but this was a big bomb for me. One of those movies that seem awesome on paper, but doesn't come across well. For me.

Now Blades of Glory - heaven on ice.

bionic bunny! said...

oh, yeah, blades of glory! that one rocks!
but, i was a competitive ice skater, so that one doesn't count. i still cry when i watch "ice castles" for cryin' out loud!

It's comforting to know I wasn't the only person that didn't like Anchorman.

I love Anchorman but I prefer Talladega Nights. I lost it during the dinner-table grace scene and that was it. I think it's underrated and under-appreciated.

My youngest daughter and I still do variations on the "Dear Lord Baby Jesus" prayers.

liloleme - great quotes!

Also - "The jazz flute is for little fairy boys."

See, and I didn't care for Blades of Glory at all. Talladega Nights was good though, but Anchorman is still best - maybe slightly above Old School.

Ohhh, Rocket Queen! How could I have forgotten Old School?

When they're in the kitchen and he says, "Cocks. Balls." Then Vince Vaughan covers the kid's ears.
