Deanna Favre Makes The Morning News Rounds

When Deanna Favre and her publicists were scheduling times to be on national morning news programs to promote her new book, they probably were not counting on the fact that her husband would be embroiled in a sexting and naked photo scandal. So, it takes a lot of guts on Deanna's part that she actually went through with all of the interviews this morning.

On Good Morning America she was asked about the scandal but said she was not here to talk about her personal life, which I understand, but her book is about her personal life and her struggles in life. The sexting thing is a struggle for sure, but she says that it is her faith that gets her through everything.

"I'm a woman of faith. Faith has gotten me through many difficult struggles. It will get me through this one."

That is a lot of faith, because I bet there are more than just Jenn Sterger and the two massage therapists. There probably will be plenty more. I know she is out selling a book, but still, to face national audiences knowing you are going to get asked about this is pretty impressive.

The woman beat cancer. I don't think anything could scare her off at this point.

I agree with Stacy- and rumour has it here in Wisconsin that this is NOT Brett's first "mistake"....she's not going anywhere...

It is very creepy that Jenn is the spitting image of Deanna. If I was a gambling person, I'd say there are more women.

Well she's not going to sell any books unless she gets out there. I guess her faith doesn't extend to her husband, and she's okay with that??

Yes - lots of rumors in Wisconsin.

I don't see what faith has to do with it. Now, if she was getting divorced, I could see her relying on her faith, but this...no. Get off the stage, lady.

I dunno, I thought it was a little weird when I heard she was going to be on GMA with "a message" and then I find out she's selling a book? WTF? I'm all for having faith and all, but unless her book has fun plans for making a cheating man suffer, I'm not buying it.

Whatever works for them I guess.

What hwhat hypocrites these "news" shows are. They can ask her inappropriate questions about her husband's affair(s) but Howard Stern gets bashed by these same "news" shows because David Arquette was just trying to clarify and dispel rumors and lies on his radio show.

What a bunch of horse shit.

Aah who cares if Brett was cheating. I highly doubt this was the first time he did something like that and I know it won't be the last. She has been with him for all of these years for a reason. She is not going anywhere. Besides he is a professional sports player, how FAITHFUL did she expect him to be anyway. (not that that is an excuse.)

Just what is anyone teaching young girls these days?

She married him years after she gave birth to his child. She is well aware of his roving eye, and she doesn't care, just so she gets to carry the last name Favre, and sell books.

Most Footballer wives are like that. Except Mr. Angier Harmon...er I mean, Mrs. Jason Sehorn.

Wow. Quite a judgmental bunch today.

I'm not a big fan of "faith". It's used way to often to oppress instead of uplift. That being said, she wrote a book about dealing with her struggles with things like cancer. No problem with how she's handling it.

Actually Deanna does not put up with it. She's uber-paranoid. A friend of mine had a business that involved Favre and Deanna finally made Brett bow out after a couple of years because she thought my friend was getting Favre hookers. WTF? (a) my friend is totally not like that LOL and (b) Brett doesn't need to pay to get girls. The whole thing was very odd. She did have every reason to be paranoid though when he went out all the time with Frank Winters & Mark Chmura. But she married him anyway. Whatevs.

Why isn't Brett Favre getting pulverized by the media like Tiger Woods....if there are more women out there wouldn't the media ( enquirer) try everything to get info on this guy.

Thats a very good question Vanessa.
I think perhaps Tiger being black could have something to do with it.
Black men are portrayed as hypersexual in the media so perhaps it was just that much easier to expose Tiger's indiscretions veres some good ol' boy like Farve?
And I agree, while it is good for her to talk about her fight from cancer this is yet another example of women being the accepting spouses while their husbands get to further prove their own masculinity by measuring it against their sexual conquests. If she would have said that he was wrong for doing this and they are seeking counsling and if it contines she will leave then that would be one hellava message more than 'faith'

I think Tiger got all that attention because of the car crash/golf club incident. If one of his mistresses had released a statement that he was cheating, it wouldn't have been as big a deal. There was a huge buildup of curiosity about what was going on before we got the "proof" that he was cheating.

Ick...I don't think there is any scenario where I would be attracted to or let alone want to marry an athlete.

@Vanessa - NO KIDDING!!

Gawker (?) or whoever did that piece on Jenn did this MONTHS ago. Why hasn't TMZ devoted the same amount of time as they did to Tiger.

you know what i kind of wondered? i wondered if Deanna saw the pictures (you know, THE pictures) and recognized his, uuummm, manhood. i know i know, i don't know why that popped into my head. *sigh* it was a long day.

I don't think Tiger's getting a hard time because he's biracial, but because he and his managers did a very hard sell on his perfect family man image and got him a ton of endorsements that were based on that. I'm scarcely a big sports fan, but it is not my understanding that there was remotely the same level of marketing around Brett Favre's image as an ideal family man - but I'm very willing to stand corrected.
