This A list singer/celebrity checked into a hotel last week and twenty minutes later walked down to the front desk with the fruit basket that had been left in her room and she started tossing the fruit at the staff and asked them how long she would have to stay in the hotel before they remembered she hates fruit.

I sort of get it. I hate when I go to a place that I often patronize only to be treated like I have never been there. Everyone likes to go where someone knows your name. That being said, just take the fruit to the closest homeless person/shelter and give it away. Maybe she could even tell the front desk on her way to donate it, "I do not like fruit. I am going to donate it to a hungry person. You may do this in advance of my next visit with my fruit basket."
