@ Sherry, there's a photo out there of "Brittney" performing in Vegas. If you blow it up, both the face and body look off. I think it is actually a male impersonator.

Britney Spears. Her team is starting to post photos of her out and about in Las Vegas with friends that are actually her relatives. I think there is a campaign to make her seem more normal.

@All Lace and Sherry...I too am on the bandwagon of that not being Britney performing--at least not every single night. I think they prop her up every so often and turn on her mic for about 30 seconds at some point and she spouts out something ridiculously Britney and the audience walks away convinced that they are seeing her perform. That people don't care and still pay to go to her shows is rather a sad commentary about what people consider great entertainment these days.
Good freaking God people do you really think you can MAKE a person do something when you are their guardian?? Seriously?? Her father jumps through more legal hoops than any of you will ever imagine and as for keeping her doped up there is no way in hell that is happening as she has a battery of doctors and then the court doctors overseeing them to make sure they aren't doing anything. She is a high profile so they have to be careful. Mine isn't and I am still watched like a hawk! Between doctors, social workers, court appointed advocates, attorneys I am constantly answering to someone! Let my son get in a mood and he is calling and saying I am doing something and I have to explain what is going on with him!
As a side note I have wanted to mention Amanda Bybnes. I am sorry but there is no way in hell if she is schizophrenic that she can be off medication! Either she was misdiagnosed or she is taking meds and doesn't want everyone to know as she is afraid that she will lose out on chances of being hired in acting roles again.

I was thinking Madonna... Purely because of her age.
It is apparent she is so drugged up, she has no idea where she is half the time. I used to dismiss the stories she was very bi-polar and the heavy meds keep her "normal" but make her a zombie....I now believe it....so sad :(
I doubt she has a double doing her shows. I bet that she's so photoshopped in pictures they release it's made her unrecognizable in person.
Ashamed to admit that I saw her show in Vegas. (It was a friend's birthday request.) It was her for the whole show that I saw. It's not that big a theater and I had a good view. Plus, if it had been a stand in, they would be fired for not keeping up with the background dancers. All but a few talking bits were lip synched. She looked good, the outfits were sparkly, and the staging was cool, but mostly it was sort of sad. I would have rather seen a top notch Britney impersonator dance his/her butt off with no pretense of singing than the real Britney moving her lips and marking out the dance like a rehearsal while the backup dancers do all the hard work. I felt sad for her (and myself for having paid $ to see it.

I think that there are a group of people that financially benefit immensely from their control of Britney.
I would question whether she even still needs conservatorship or if these people just make sure no one, including Britney herself, questions it.
Plus, I've never bought the story that she is so mentally ill that she needs a conservatorship, but she is mentally stable enough to perform daily. Hmmm, how does that work?
I'll wager that animals on stage shows have better protection against being abused than Britney.
I've always thought they should just let her move back home and open a beauty shop or something.
I think she supports too many people financially to ever let her do that.
Here's a thought. Maybe Britney herself just doesn't want to/can't work that hard (dance) anymore and she obviously doesn't have to in Vegas. Not everyone has the work ethic of Madonna who is willing to do yoga 15hrs a day (or whatever she does to stay so limber & in shape). I don't think it's possible to force someone in Brits position to perform if she didn't have the desire to be there and do it (drugged or not). If she suffers panic attacks that could be another explaination why she's always surrounded by family when she goes out and why she doesn't go out often.
Because Britney would seem the "obvious" answer to this blind it makes me think this is someone else. Look at how many other manufactured careers their are out there. Could be a lot of people.

At least let her go out to a club from time to time so she can pussy flash the paps. Have her go full bush this time, to cover up the c-section scar.

@ Lisa - there is more going on than mental health issues that require a guardian. She has been groomed since she was a small child to perform. Years ago, well before the meltdown, it was shown that she had issues with standing up for herself and truly doing what she wanted. A snippet of video that I saw appeared to reveal that she was essentially incapable of arguing or discussing important matters openly with her family. The video that was shot years go showed the extent of her "people pleasing" pathology that undermined her to the nth degree. I don't think she is capable of truly making a decision and truly and plaintively stating, "I do not want to do this" if everyone around her is for it.
That said, I think the Vegas show is keeping her busy and giving her a focal point, and that's what she needs at this point of her recovery.
It is common for big Vegas shows to have a double for the star for needs of production and visual effects. If there is a double for Britney it does not mean that she is not performing in her shows.
But she has been gone for a long time. Her eyes are dead. It is sad. They should just let her have a quiet life with her kids.
I watched a snippet of a behind the scenes special for a music video of Britney's a year or so ago. This was post conservatorship obvs, and there was some kind of discussion about a part of the video where she is standing above a pool on a platform and somebody said, " why don't we CGI in some sharks trying to attack her, or she's swimming with them?" Britney's Dad was there and he instantly growled, hissing and spitting that " NOBODIES going to throw MY little girl to the sharks!!!" It seemed a heartfelt paternal protection moment, and made me think that he is her conservator in order to protect her, for her own good.If the HIV pos stories have told us nothing, bending over doing coke, ahem, then we know that she may need some adult supervision to stay safe.
lisa.. amanda bynes parents have always cleaned up the mess around her to protect her brand. the was "allegedly" raped and got pg by dan scneider when she was about 14-16 and her parents just swept her off to abortion clinic and said nada to ds or nickolodeon.. they want her career more than she did.. she tried to quit several times and her parents swooped in and changed her mind.. she quit acting years ago and then a few months later signed up for a film.. mommy and daddy want her to be a famous actress at HER COST..

Lisa: Brit is heavily drugged, as she has serious problems with her brain chemistry. Without the drugs, she will end up in a locked rubber room for her own protection.
Either she took a lot of street drugs that did this or her first pregnancy did something to her by producing hormones that fucked her up.
But it's also likely, she wants to perform, as other than her children, she has not other kind of life.
If you saw interviews with her 8-10 years ago, she's just not intelligent, she's flat out dumb, with a Capital D!

How about Lorde or Lana Del Ray? Looking at it from an image manipulation angle. I take this blind to mean more like a Milli Vanilli popstar manipulation kind of deal, not a drugged zombie kind of (puppet) deal. Trying to think outside the box at 12:30 in the morning here.

I saw Britney and Rihanna perform a number live at the Billboard Music Awards a few years ago when we were in Vegas. Even though they were obviously lip synching, they both looked good and we enjoyed the performance, No speaking to the audience at all, just dancing, so I can't comment on her conversation.
Brit is iconic, no matter what goes on in her personal life, I'm happy I saw her live.
I remember a long time ago an interviewer asked her what she would do if she weren't a performer, and she replied something like "I'd be shelling shrimp on the porch with my grandma back in Louisiana." Too bad no one is allowing her to do that now. Sounds peaceful.
Of course none of her social media accounts are run by her. They're PR tools to make her seem sane and normal. Her life is so sad.

@Lisa: agree about Amanda. She still makes me sad. Schizophrenia has a wide spectrum of symptoms and ALL those with this clinical diagnosis most definitely need pharmacological+therapeutic Tx to manage symptoms.
