She knew she was going to get the reaction she did. This A/B-list talk show host planned out those controversial statements with her staff months in advance, but jumped at the opportunity at the right time. She's been doing this kind of thing for decades. Yes, the other host involved in this fracas was in on it. Yes she lost some sponsors, but gained three more. No, no staff members were fired as is being reported in other outlets, they moved on to another gig but left with huge checks as a thank you.
