I just watched Kristen Stewart in Cafe Society last night. I hadn't really seen her in much before. She is such a horrible actress!!! I had thought people were just being dramatic because she seems so bitchy. Nope--she's terrible!
She is a terrible actress. Her sort of gloomy personality always made me think she was deep and passionate and would be a great actress, and she cleans up great (very lovely) but her acting truly, truly, is just plain awful.
In all fairness, Clouds of Sils Maria, for which she won that award, was pretty great. I didn't know she had it in her.
She used to be so pretty and had so much potential, In the Land of Women she was actually pretty good, then came Twi-Shit and she became a royal witch with a capitol B, believed all her own hype.

Ha! I guess Chanel negotiated a win with all the other awards she won for that movie - 8 or 9 critics awards. This blind is a total joke & completely made up by Rob Pattinson fans. Sad to see Cdan look so pathetic.

Laughing at the fans of this one trick pony who has no range or acting ability at all. It's well known that Chanel bought that French award for her. Chanel is a huge corporation and Lagerfeld has a lot invested in her.
What's not so well known is that Chanel financed both her French films, Sils Maria and Personal Shopper. The producer, Charles Gillibert has some kind of deal with them -- you know she wears current Chanel clothes and accessories in both films, right? It's kind of like her own personal product placement deal. Instead of drinking Pepsi, she wears Chanel.
They also made just her costumes for Cafe Society. Not Blake Lively's or anyone else's, just hers. How weird is that? I've never heard of an actress with their own personal fashion house making just their costumes for a film. But it shows how deep in she is with Chanel. And they would have had to buy that crappy award for her, since no other organization gave her one for that film. She was snubbed by the Oscars, Golden Globes, SAG, Independent Spirit and every other US organization. Sure, a few critics voted for her, but they're paid off (that's also well known). Her PR team never puts their wallet away. She's used that Twilight money to buy every kind of PR that exists. It's no secret.
Let's be real. Sils Maria was boring AF. Yackety yackety, nothing happened. She didn't deserve anything for that stinker. The critics at Cannes are easy to buy off. Her PR rep, Ruth, takes them out for lunch, plies them with wine, gives them a bag full of Chanel accessories, and bing, bang, boom, they write a good review, praising her for her sub-par acting.
Then the US critics see all the Cannes critics, and like sheep, they follow along. That's how it works. Fact is, for all they ballyho, it didn't make a profit at the box office. None of her films do. If she was the hot shit her little fans think she was, she wouldn't have been out of work for 10 months last year and she wouldn't have nothing lined up for this year.
She's not in demand, her career is not on fire, and she's continually snubbed by all the US groups that hand out awards. She's won TWO Razzies for Worst Actress and she doesn't have a single Oscar nomination.
The good news is she was snubbed this year and she won't have anything eligible for next year, so we'll be spared her ridiculously thirsty campaigning.
