Trying to think of "back in time" cable shows and Hell on Wheels is the only one coming to mind and it doesn't fit for this.
Unless I'm reading "back in time" wrong.
Danny Masterson
I took it as That 70s Show as well.
That 70s Show was not a cable show though.
Wasn't Fox considered cable?
YOU WILL BE BELIEVED! THIS IS YOUR MOMENT! BE BRAVE AND YOU'LL BE FINE AND ABLE TO RECOVER FINALLY. GOOD LUCK!!!
Fox was a network and Masterson has never been A- List as far as I know.
Um how was it not a cable show. And I'm almost positive the movie is "The Faculty". He's the 21st person listed on IMDB. A listers in the movie include Salma Hayek, Famke Jannsen, Jonathan Stewart, Elijah Wood.
John Hamm? Space Cowboys being the movie? I don't know if he would be A- now and he seems billed lower than 20th according to IMDB.
I wouldn't call Masterson A- List either. But could the movie be Face/Off? Travolta, Cage?
Fox is not a pay-for-cable channel.
That's why I don't think it's Masterson for this one.
Space Cowboy four main characters being Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, James Garner and Donald Sutherland who are all permanent A list.
Ashton Kutcher?
James Franco/Freaks and Geeks
Or Jared Leto My so Called life
Franco my bet
They mention Hamm's one line in Space Cowboys in this article: http://www.mtv.com/news/2803223/jon-hamm-in-space-cowboys/
Someone on west world? Drawing a blank
Ohh, I retract my guess and will go along with Hamm.
Good call folks.
danny masterson 29th in end titles of face-off
There is also a video of his one line, one scene, and the girl in the scene.
Was Space Cowboys a very big movie, though?
Jon Hamm was in "When We Were Soldiers" with Mel Gibson & Sam Elliott. Not sure you can scare up 4 A listers from that movie, or how big the role was,but it was 2002, so before Mad Men.
Yeah, no way Masterson is a "mostly movie" actor anyway. Nobody from Stranger Things or Outlander seems to fit...trying to think of other cable time travel shows.
Leto/How to Make An American Quilt with Winona..also starred Ellen Burstyn,Alfre Woodard,Maya Angelou etc
Oh just saw the Jon Hamm comments. That is a great guess.
i'll go with hamm instead because of the clue about the 4 permanent a listers. the movie poster is just the heads of the 4 men.
Mad Men only went off the air 2 years ago?
I thought Space Cowboys was a big movie at the time.
If this guess is correct, though, the girl who was in that scene also played Masterson's girlfriend at some point on That 70s Show according to wiki.
It has to be Michael Louden for the other guy with Anne Stedman as the victim.
Chris Wylde (Chris Noll) is just not that guy.
@just sayin'
True, but in Face Off, Masterson didn't share his one scene with another male in that movie - just the female actress whose name escapes me.
@Khaleesi, Fox was never cable, and has been considered a main network since the Simpsons became such a huge success in the late 80's.
Jeremy Piven, movie was 'Singles'. Released in 1992. He had one scene, he played a grocery store clerk. Other stars from the movie include Lyra Sedgewick, Matt Dillon, Bridget Fonda, and numerous appearances by Seattle musicians including Cornell, Vedder and the guys from Alice in Chains.
If the permanent A-listers could be the musicians then I stand by my guess. Haha
Yummyboogers, great guess, and this movie is right in Enty's wheelhouse.
The Hamm guess is the most likely, stop guessing Masterson,Fox is network, not cable, he was never, even one second, A list,an d there are many stories to take him down. This is someone who would surprise us,at least a little.
Jeremy Piven didn't share a scene with any females in Singles though. He was a cashier at a grocery store and Campbell Scott came through his line. It was only the two of them on camera.
@Yummyboogers,he doesn't say actors,so still a good alternate guess, points for thinking outside the box.
"back in time cable show"
probably Jon Hamm. he didnt get famous till his forties.
the actress is anne stedman. ok, you've got nothing to lose now anne, you can do this!!!
John Hamm. The hit "back in time" cable show was Mad Men (1960s period soap). The cable network is AMC. He has been in many TV shows and several big budget movies with A-list actors, but he didn't become popular in Hollywood until Mad Men. The movie in which he had only one line was Space Cowboys. That movie had many more than 4 A-listers starring in it, but the blind says "at least four...". but only 4 of them were prominently featured: Clint Eastwood, Donald Sutherland, Tommy Lee Jones, and James Garner.
Here is the scene, with him and the other douchebag actor and the unknown actress.

Hamm is also well known around Hollywood because of the allegedly large appendage between his legs. He seems to enjoy all the attention he gets from it because he often walks around commando to show himself off, and the flopping and bulging got so out of control on the set of Mad Men that the producer had to tell him put on underwear before coming on set to shoot his scenes.
I admit that I am surprised by this blind. Hamm seems to be the type of dude who would never have any problem getting women to go to bed with him. That he would resort to rape is sad.
So much for Jon Hamm growing up and leaving his sadistic college frat boy ways behind him.
“Hit back in time cable tv show” - could definitely be John Hamm/Mad Men...but what about that Showtime adaptation of the Outlander series? No idea who is on it but I think it’s popular with the ladies. If there’s an A-list guy on it, it could work.
My money is on Hamm with his history of abusing that pledge in his fraternity. That is a fundamental personality trait that doesn't just go away. Clues fit, too.
Could the show be Deadwood, Rome, or Boardwalk Empire? Too many possible actors to consider here.
I researched other “past” shows including those listed above and nothing. Looks like it’s Hamm. He’s the only one that fits.
Chris Pratt before Parks and Rec was on Wanted with Angie Jo and Morgan Freeman and others
Not Masterson - he's not A list and he's not a Movie star, he's mostly TV (Cybill, 70's Show) so then I though of Kutcher because he wasn't known until he was on the 70's show and then went on to make movies. At the time, I think he was considered A list.
Hamm fits best though, as he has gone to make movies and Mad Men was a time-period show. From past blinds, he sounds like an ass.
Thank you!! :) I agree with you that Hamm(aconda) is more likely the true answer, though!
You're totally right about Singles being up Enty's alley. Hmmm...I wonder...
Hey Enty!! Got any Singles related or other early 90s movie related blinds you can toss out to us? I'd love some behind the scenes intel on some of my favorite flicks from my youth. Singles, Dazed in Confused, Empire Records.... Or heck - even some more music related blinds from back then along the vein of the Cornell blinds. I bet Enty knows some blindworthy info on some 90s era rock genre musicians aside from just Cornell. Let us know some dirt on others - Kiedis, Reznor, Vedder, Staley, Cantrell, Weiland, Maynard Keenan, Billy Dorgan, etc. Got anything Woodstock 94 or 99 related?
I can't speak for all, but I sure would love a break from the Teen Mom and Real housewife blinds! Haha
I vote the Hamm-ster. Movie: we were soldiers or when we played with guns acting like we did something important with Mel Gibson in charge. Whatever.
Rapists don’t rape because they can’t get laid.
I'll believe her. 💔
Not to mention the fact that as attractive as Hamm may be, on a film with 4 A list stars, I don't know that he would be the first choice if a woman wanted to make a move on a guy.
EXACTLY, Karen! When are people/men finally going to get this thru their heads?
UPDATE ON DANNY MASTERSON:
Onee of the women who were raped by Danny Materson is speaking out...and in a big way. She is calling out Netflix, Scientology and everyone else who knew but did nothing and/or has told her to keep quiet.
After reading this article, it's EVIDENT that Scientology has their hand full of cash inside law enforcement pockets.
Danny Masterson's rape accuser comes forward to blast Netflix
Note: sorry for the double post. I thought the first one on Danny didn't show up in the other blind - but turns out it did. Oops.
Here is the video of Hamm's one line in Space Cowboys. This scene is (unintentionally?) creepy...
