There was a recent blind about an oscar & emmy winner helping a younger talent from show, described the same as above, from a drug overdose. Maybe it didn't happen in Van, but in Milan.
And a BI a week before that describing the Riverdale cast as party hardy coke fiends. I hope real life doesn't copy their shows plots.
