DeNiro?
Yea, De Niro presented an award to Billy Crystal this week.
Thanks Moose:)
Denzel was my second thought...
Really?!!
The see eye a?
@unknown: take that weak-ass crap over to The Daily Caller. With all due respect, mais oui.
De Niro was also permitted to direct [or maybe play front man for whoever really directed] "The Good Shephard," which is the ultimate CIA Hollywood film and well worth seeing if you have not. First two acts are superb, only falls apart in the end, and Angelina Jolie has never looked better--she's literally luminous in the first hour of this (3 hour) film.
De Niro also has starred in a series of "limited hangout" films that entertain the populace while mocking them and speaking to those 'in the know' on a separate level: "Wag the Dog," "Hide and Seek," "Ronin," and about eleventy-hundred gangster and spy films of varying degrees of disclosure and mockery.
He was one of America's greatest actors, there is no doubt, but he's devolved into a caricature and joke. He no longer loses himself in roles, the roles lose themselves to Robert De Niro. He's become a joke and a tragedy at the same time, and biggest of both is that he has no clue it's happened. But that's most of Hollywood now, no?
"He no longer loses himself in roles, the roles lose themselves to Robert De Niro."
Wow- did you nail that. I could never figure it out, but that is it. On the head.
+10000 megley. Nobody cares.
He just mails it in now, just takes any money they want to pay for an role in any movie schlock or not. But he's 75 and not a leading man type anymore anyhow.
Well, lets hope Scorsese can get one good performance out of him.
Side piece means Gun or woman?
Oh yeah, it's totally well known that CIA assets are utilized to direct and produce films that have spies.
/s
wasn't he supposed to move to Canada or Spain? imbecile
+20000 Sick of the political shit on a blind that has nothing to do with politics.
DeNiro is boring, but great roles.
Oh god, take the “see eye A” stuff over to Female First
@ filmfanb

Isn't De Niro higher than A?
Loved Dirty Grandpa.
Robert De Niro was partying, March 4, 1982, with John Belushi the night before Belushi died. (Details in my autobiography I’m currently writing.)
