Oh, is it time for that thing again?

Obviously, no. I'll go to a movie or something.

Oh shit the super bowl is this weekend? Thanks for the info Enty! :)
What's sad is that I'm being completely honest. Only amateurs need an excuse to drink on Sundays ;)

Hoping Bill Belichick and Wade Phillips give me some dad on dad action...THATS WHAT!

Hell naw! My team was robbed 2 weeks ago. I may never enjoy football again.

Nope. I could go for some wings though.

Probably not. Have my kid.

The Super Bowl is this weekend? Who knew?

Flashy Vic said...

Actually yes. Not so much a party as a little soirée.

A couple of friends and I have taken a shine to your rough housing gridiron game.

It seems like rugby except its interesting and for heterosexuals.

I believe it's between some people called the Boston Paddy Riots and Los Angeles Ramblers or something.

Oh, it will be tres amusant.

We are assembling at my pied-a-terre and I am supplying the nibbles.
There will be Tayto's finest cheese and onion crisps, some sausage rolls from Mr Asda's fine emporium and some lager beers from Scotland by the Tennant's family firm that apparently is so well regarded that it's called 'Super'.

I cannot rule out the possibility of chocolate ice cream either.

It will be such fun!! I literally am tremblant with excitement.

And I hope their will be an appropriate thread ici for the occasion?

I suppose it would be gauche of me not to choose a side to favour. In that case I will tie my ribbons to the rambling chaps from the City of Angels.

I really cannot see myself rooting for those Boston ruffians because they're cunts.

I'm partying all by myself.
(Well, I might text party with my PhD' sister who has Pat's season tickets!)

And, Yes!
I am hoping Tom (The GOAT) Brady wins another Lombardi Trophy!

As for you Patriot haters, 'Get Over It!'

Just two weeks ago the LA Rams cheated to get into the Super Bowl!
You can't tell me that four Southern Cal Refs calling that game in new Orleans weren't helping the Rams avoid penalties!

(AND, that is much worse than being accused of deflating balls in cold weather; or video taping signals during a game -- which every team does.)

Go, PATS!

=)

It will be on in the wee small hours over here. I actually booked Monday off work for it too. I have days carried over from last year to use up, so nothing is wasted.

I am genetically programmed to realise anything from Boston, so those cheating spunktrumpets continuing success pains me greatly.

That and the fact that Tom Brady is the only semi familiar name of an NFL player in the UK. Far from a household name by any means but a biggish minority of, let's face it, men, who like sport(no 'S' on the end) would know the name even if they couldn't pick him out of a police line up.

Anyway, Sunday night - 'Mon the Rams!!!

'Despise', not 'realise'!!!

Christ on a fucken bike, there will be broken devices before this fucken evening is out!!!

AbbyRock said...

nope, we're not into nfl football.

God no - wouldn't be regardless of who was playing. No interest in watching a bunch of meatheads giving each other concussions. Can't wait until football dies off.

Fiendish Man said...

No, but if I get bored I might amuse myself by looking at the supermarket ads offering goodies for "The Big Game" because they are legally forbidden to say "Super Bowl".

Super Bowl this year ia wholly uninspiring. The cheating Pats in there again, and the Trying To Buy A Super Bowl To Gain A Foothold In LA Rams. Ratings will probably be down. Chiefs/Saints game, in a dome, would have been electric. As it stands, I am just going to be rooting for my #s in block pools.

I sure am! I don't really follow the NFL, but my friend has a kick-ass party every year.

No but my stepmom LOVES the Patriots and TB. We made the mistake of watching the end of their last game and texting with her (they live far away but if we lived by them I’m sure we’d be watching it with them) so now I’m pretty sure she’ll text me the whole time so I’ll have to watch at least some of it. Actually we might go grocery shopping instead, I bet the store will be empty!

PghGirl said...

No. I can't stand the Patriots

I haven't watched the football game on TV for two years now and I hardly notice the loss. Or "the loss."

Crash said...

Yes, it's called the Boycott Bowl. We're not watching the game down here in Nola. We're watching a replay of our 2010 Super Bowl game. FUCK GOODELL & The NFL. The entire Gulf Coast will not be watching. We're all going to Saints related parties and leaving our TVs on Nickelodeon, the History Channel, or The Food Network.

No,my husband had a heart attack in LA last week. No more cheese and sausage trays, I'm making chicken soup and he can have fruit and yogurt. He was out of Cedars Sinai by Friday and we flew home to Wisconsin Tuesday. It was -22 when we got home. It is colder today. But I'm just so glad he is OK. It's his second heart attack and was much worse than the first. The folks at the hospital were great and the staff at the Roosevelt was very helpful too. Glad to be home. Don't really care what is on TV.

we are #WhoDatNation in our home so we won't be watching Super Bowl LIE. extending condolences to all the chiefs' fans since the cheatrirats were also placed in the game. fuck goodall and the cali refs who won the game for the shams. i'd sooner take a 3 lb. sledge to my tv than watch this bullshit. "tell us how you really feel, mud." i will. i fucking will.

OKay said...

Literally nobody in my world watches football. I am grateful for that.

Glow W said...

Nope. Putting on puppy bowl

I have a full day and night planned for Sunday that in NO way involves the Super Bowl. I have not watched a Super Bowl in probably 6 years now. It stopped being fun to watch an NFL game.
I have all the "snacks" though, and will settle in for some movies. I need a new Binge show.. I am all out ..

No, I am continuing with my ongoing birthday celebration and will be spending the weekend with some favorite family members drinking wine and eating delicious food and possibly enjoying a roaring fire, depending on where the mood takes us.

Unless I get a last minute invite from @Flashy Vic, in which case I will be flying out of JFK on Saturday.

I was forced to go to Saints games my entire life, long before there was a Superdome. Games there used to be played at Tulane Stadium. When I was 28 years old I with two children I realized I didn't HAVE to go to Saints games if I didn't want to go. SO I STOPPED. They were losers then - this was in the early 90s. While I still lived in New Orleans for many years, I stopped doing NFL and all broadcast TV> The year the Saints won the Superbowl I didn't watch it. I lived on a farm and I did put it on the radio, but I fell asleep and didn't know they won until I woke up to a news break about it. What was funny was that I worked across the street from the Superdome. Even though that wasn't where the game was that year, all kinds of events revolving around their win happened across the street from me. I had to participate in wearing Black and Gold every Friday for weeks. It was all but mandatory. I hated the NFL. I hated that they are considered a NON PROFIT when they do next to nothing for the communities where their franchises reside.

HAVING said all that TLDR this year I got sucked in. i was back in New Orleans for a couple of months due to parents' health problems and my own, and I watched television, including Saints games, where I was staying. I got personally involved this year and I am still mad at myself for it. They sucked me IN~?~

FUCK NO I won't watch the Superbowl.

The real truth is this. Problem Reaction Solution. OH PLEASE MR NFL REVIEW EVERY PLAY as humans are too inept to be trusted.

There is already too much "officiating" - it is all about mind control. Men whose names you don't know are making "CALLS" - ? OH PLEASE MORE CAMERAS and let us throw some drones in there too !!! ?!

Screw the NFL. Every bar I know in New Orleans is having live music or replaying the game the year the Saints won. I hope that everyone there realizes they can reclaim their Sundays. The NFL is like the CHURCH in New Orleans. Not sure which is worse.

Newp. I'm just pissed that I don't need to go shopping during the game when the stores will be empty.

The Saints were cheated on that final call
I don’t do football but I watch the local news
Brady is a cheater and everyone helped him cover up his cheating.

Maybe we can have an anti Superbowl party here.

luckythewondercat said...

No. I can't get excited about the teams or the halftime show. Maybe some of the commercials will be good.
