so gidget's gone to the big taco in the sky...rip little doggie.
Aw, I remember when those commercials were EVERYWHERE.
I hate these little yapping ankle nippers, so I don't get the sads when one of them dies.
I just checked dlisted, who has this story too, and he called this summer, the summer of death. I laughed a lot. The end.
@ Sue Ellen Mishkey, glad I'm not the only one who laughed at MK's Summer Of Death comment.
I'd rather read a story about Gidget than another about Jon and Kate.
RIP Gidget. 15 is a long life for a doggy, hope it was a happy one.
aww, I loved that dog. Mine was similar looking, but black fur.
I have the whols stuffed Gidget collection from Taco Bell---RIP Gidget.
Chihuahuas have an undeserved bad reputation. Mine (Benicio del Toro) has a wonderful personality (caninality?). On walks he runs up to everyone he sees squeaking with joy.
My son is obsessed with that dog ( rip giget! )now that he has started reading the Skippy John Jones series..or rather since I have been reading it to him..moms if you haven't yet, you must get those books for the littles..its about a Siamese cat who is obsessed with being a Chihuahua..cutest thing ever.

it was a clever ad campaign for taco bell. and there HAD to be more than one dog, didn't there?

Bunny--when the campaign started, probably about 12-14 years ago, they issued different stuffed dogs every few weeks.
Coming from a long line of Chihuahua

How sad!!! My Mom loved this doggy!!! Chihuahuas are the best little dogs ever.
My oldest son(18) has a Chihuahua named Lucy, who looks just like Gidget. We used to take her to the nursing home my Mom was in for visits, and everyone fell in love with her.
Viva Chihuahuas!!!
RIP Gidget! Great ad idea.
