This is a complicated one, but a good one. It involves an A list movie actor who got his sometime mistress pregnant. The mistress is an actress too. She was in a relationship with a man who was totally head over heels and let our actress run all over him. She would do what she wanted, when she wanted and did it often. Our actor had to be a bit more discreet. His face is much more widely known than that of the mistress. She is known too, but not like the actor. Anyway, the mistress and her man never really had sex much so it came as a shock to many when she announced she was pregnant. She had never been shy about talking about the lack of sex. Turns out the child is actually the child of the A list actor. The two managed to keep it fairly quiet but as the looks became more obvious, the couple had to do something so what they managed to do was deflect all attention from the child for fear it would ruin the career of the A list actor. The child is never seen in public. Even though the mistress and her man are no longer together, the child continues to live with the man until such time as the child can be shipped to boarding school. The fact that all three of the people know and are willing to keep it quiet is amazing. There is a fourth person who knows and had to be paid off with a lot of money to keep her quiet and she also went on a nice year long vacation. You never see her anymore in public.

It's someone who announced they were pregnant. Not Sanaa. I'm guessing due to the comment "but as the looks became more obvious" this child looks exactly like Denzel or the supposed father and Denzel look NOTHING alike.

Ok, I did a little investigating. If we go with Sanaa as the mistress, the BF, by default would have to be Awedale O. A retired NFL player. The Omar Epps relationship ended in 2003, makind the kid 8 or 9 at the time of the blind, which I think is old enough for boarding school.
And according to whodatedwho.com her next relationships were Regina Hall, Terrel Owens, and Awedale. Regina can't physically get Sanaa preggers, T.O. can't possibly keep his mouth shut, so Awedale wins by default.

I'm not understanding the original blind item. Is it saying that the boyfriend of the actress is not the father, but he is pretending to be and also raising the child?

Denzel is a known cheater and when he's caught out by his wife his way to pay her off is with a fancy vacation. I was told this by an industry insider almost twenty years ago. That is why I laughed so hard when I saw Denzel and Pauletta on the cover of Ebony (I think) representing a loving couple.
It's Sanaa Lathan who is being seen on red carpets again after a long time away.
I feel sorry for the child.

AFter all the recent allegations of Denzel's cheating, I saw a story, not sure where--maybe off of Yahoo!--about their formula for a successful marriage. It was a new interview, I guess put out by their publicist to sway the rumors. Guess Pauletta is used to looking the other way.
Uh oh. Apparently Denzel has wandered off the res. lots of Denzel-is-bad stories lately. The real blind item here is why Denzel Washington is suddenly getting smeared and blindsided only now for the first time ever.

What about Kimberly Elise? Has she ever announced a pregnancy? She has been in a couple movies with him. Dated Shemar Moore several years ago.
Denzel always had a soft spot for Denzel. When he left St. Elsewhere to become a movie star people thought he was crazy and full of himself. He did very well for himself so in hindsight what might be viewed as sanctimonious may be self confidence. He's earned the right to be whatever he wants in my book, he's a very good actor and usually his movies are top notch.
I don't know how seen Denzel's wife is. Sure, she had a play on Broadway - But at the Golden Globes, it was Denzel's daughter with him, not the wife.
Be warned though, LSA is a massive time sink - worse than being in a spectacular wikiloop.

Am I the only one who thinks the mistress an her man are white and the baby was born light but gets darker with age and that is the true telling thing? That's enough to (if you suck) put your kid in hiding. A black kid who "resembles" Denzel isn't enough, IMO, to send a kid away.
@Boozie, the more I think about this, I'm inclined to agree, but I'm thinking the man raising the child is non-white, but not black...possibly Latino?

Sorry, but the days of stepping out on a marriage being a career killer have been long over. There has to be another reason for banishing your child, other than the supposed public backlash feared by a spineless chump of a "parent."I loathe Denzel and the mistress far more for dumping amid shaming their child than breaking vows between two adults. Who thoug Denzel was a family man who never strayed? Hear the crickets? No one. This makes no sense.
The only reason I don't think this is Sanaa is she's never publicly had a baby; I don't buy the secret baby stories re her. The blind makes it seem as though the mistress publicly announced her pregnancy and birth, and then passed it off as her bf's. The child now lives with the latter and is never seen or photographed, but is not a "secret".
Agree with others re the timing of this reveal and the other recent Denzel stories. He's kept his stuff tight for years and now all the public rumor-mongering. something's up.

@Leo that's not Sanna Lathan. Omar Epps is married to Keisha - former singer of R&B group Total. Google Sanaa Lathan and you will see that is not her. But rumors about her being a mistress are true.
I do believe however, that this woman is a different person. Another mistress. Sanaa looks good, healthy and content with where she is.
I strongly beleive that the mistress was/is Sanaa Lathan.
The nature of most blinds is to be ambiguous and the facts may be a little skewed to protect the innocent, while the crux of the blind item is true.
Having a child out of wedlock by a married man, does still kill careers, for the woman. The POS male may get off with a slap on the wrist, but the woman would be blackballed by (beleive it or not) other women, and men in the industry who believe that as a woman, she should have known better.
Denzel is a known whore.... from way back in his Glory days. He has been rumored to have bedded many a female co-star including Julia Robert, Eva Mendez and Sanaa Lathan.
A pregnancy isn't that difficult to hide... most women don't show until the 4th or 5th month. Which leaves 5 to 6 months to hide out, give birth and get back in shape. As a black actress, this would not be difficult to do, especially since roles for black actresses are so few and far between.
My question is, whose coffee did Denzel piss in? 'Cause he is #1 on someone's hit list.
There where a lot of rumors about Saana being pregnant about 7 ro 8 years ago. I would not surprise me to learn that she is the mistress.
