Josh Brolin Hates Russell Crowe
You would think that when a guy wins an award, he would be in a good mood and festive. OK, so maybe the person who wins the award for employee of the month at McDonalds doesn't really need the free Big Mac, but for the most part, people are generally in a good mood when they get recognized for their work.
It would seem that logic would follow when Josh Brolin won the award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Milk" at the New York Film Critics Award dinner last night. Yeah, not so much. After thanking Sean Penn and calling him a great actor, he then spent the next several moments basically trashing his former American Gangster co-star Russell Crowe.
He called Russell Crowe an a-hole. He must have read the blog yesterday. Didn't even use the full term just went ahead with the a-hole. Should have gone on to say something about how it will replace Cornholio in the modern lexicon, but he didn't. And then for good measure, just in case anyone didn't hear him the first time, he went ahead and made the point again that Russell Crowe is an a-hole. Wow. Tell us how you really feel. I mean Josh just won an award and he had all the charges dropped against him for that New Orleans bar fight a few months ago and he still has venom for Russell. I can only imagine what would happen if he had been in a bad mood.

Russell Crowe IS an a-hole!!
I know someone who worked with Russell on Master and Commander and he said Russell was well-liked by the cast and crew. He said, that yes, Russell does have a mercurial temper, but that he always, always publicly apologized whenever he lost his cool.
saying "I'm Sorry" always makes things better

Yeah, it would be nice if he wasn't immature and would control himself. But at least he does apologize - publicly - when he's been an ass. Most celebs would never do that.

I'm not talking about physical violence, I'm referring ONLY to getting snitty and/or yelling.
The phone thing was way, way over-the-top and he deserved a harsher punishment. I'm glad he paid through the nose to that hotel employee.
I'm certainly not making the argument that the guy is a peach. But most people do not apologize when they behave like jerks. Kudos to him for at least getting one thing right.
Maybe he is an asshole, but my friend said he was adored by everyone on Master and Commander. He worked with him for five months...

Like Brolin, it is the physical violence that makes him an a-hole..(among other things, IMO)...im sure there are folks that have had great experiences with Brolin...he's still a...voila!..."douchebaguette"...course this is all my opinion...for what its worth ;-)

thats how the story goes...the police were kind enough to cover-up...hey, maybe they thought that he was a nice guy too...could also be the reason that he paid thru the nose...LOL..me thinks he was trying to order up a third...and couldn't get thru...argh! damn phone!
Russell's friends actually call him "Rarsehole" I AM NOT JOKING so obviously Josh and he are friends. No really they actually do.
Brolin needs his ass beat and bad. Aside from being a wife-beater, he's also psychotic. He went on a rant against some reporter who wrote something bad about him in 2001. He must have an enemies list Nixon would be envious of.
