Vanessa Paradis is more than skinny :she's scrawny!

hello CDAN readers!

Amber said...

When Enty says "great photo", what do you think he means by that? I feel confused and afraid.

Laura said...

VB must practice that face in front of the mirror. So stupid.

amazonblue said...

Renee has scary skinny legs.

Victoria can't crack a smile for her fans? Her reputation would improve if she showed a little personality.

I do not see the attraction of Vanessa.

anita_mark said...

Is Victoria Beckham really wearing black boots with a navy dress? And are those boots suede? Ew! How hot is it in Vancouver right now? It's 32 degrees in Ottawa right now with the humidity, I'm dreading the walk home (I hate the heat) and she's wearing suede boots???

I love the purse she's carrying.

Reader #1, I love your glasses.

Laura said...

Vanessa looks like a 12-year-old girl.

Chris said...

Reader #2 good lord

cinephreak said...

Posh Spice has the same face in every photo. She looks like her ass could turn coal into diamonds.

Mamaroni said...

Renee is still disappearing

Lux Luthor said...

LOL, cinephreak! I was just about to say something similar. She looks thrilled to be with dans in that second photo, they might as well be taking their picture with a cardboard cut-out.

Hello, CDAN readers!

I'm confused by Chris' comment. Not asking for clarification, though... :)

Lux Luthor said...

ugh, *fans* not dans.

EmEyeKay said...

Hi Readers! Now please announce yourselves!

Sylvia said...

Readers with kids look so cuteeeeee lol

I'd send my pic to Enty for posting, but I look like the guy who had his face chewed off on a bad day.

CDANer's are beautiful!!!!!

Frufra said...

Everyone looks fabulous :-)!

Anita, once again you and I are on the same wavelength - my first though about VB was, oh cute outfit. Then, damn, isn't she hot in that? It's mid-June!

Jsidhu said...

Frufra& Anita-
It's cold in Vancouver!! Between 10-15c and raining!! Has been all month pretty much.

Nice June weather :(

anita_mark said...

Oh, that's yucky weather. But I still say no to suede boots in June.

@Frufra, thought of you yesterday. My mom had an awesome story about her Saturday night. She went to a party. I asked her how she got there (she doesn't drive). That turned into an overblown saga about her bus journey. Thank God I was wearing sunglasses so she couldn't see me rolling my eyes.

RenoBlondee said...

Hi Readers. Lookin' good!

msgirl said...

50s and raining here in Seattle too - ugh. Wore wool early this morning.

Frufra said...

anita, sometimes I roll my eyes so violently while on the phone with my mom, I wonder if she can hear it.

She is being kept busy these days managing lots of work they're having done on their house. She found her handyman asleep under the shed the other day :-). Also bear in mind that it was probably 98 degrees farenheit that day. (Think that's about 37 Celsius.)

Brenda L said...

Victoria Beckham has done the impossible....she's won me over. I like her. How does this happen?

Frufra said...

I also have to add that Vanessa looks like she's going to break in half.

Anonymous said...

Love VBs dress

Seachica said...

Ditto on the cold weather in this part of the country. I'm in Seattle, and I'm still wearing a jacket most mornings. I regret packing up my boots for the season.

trogdor said...

HAHAHAHHAHHA!! Whata surprise...

Reader #2 is my sister. She's the one who got me into CDAN back in '06-'07.

Nice pic, Brah! How many did Roxie take before you selected that one? lol. Now get back to work or I'm telling on you. Oh and I had to run the toll in SF the other day. Please take the ticket out before Mom sees it and loses her shit. Thanks! =)

Renne looked pg awhile back. What happen.

Number 6 here (with the hubby)!

TKO said...

Hi CDAN'ers! I am reader #2! Long, LONG, time lurker and usually just discuss the blind items with my brother, trogdor, and he posts! Team effort and it allows for quality bonding time! Bonding over Hollywood gossip! I am sure enty didn't realize that CDAN actually brings families closer together...:-)

And I think I will take Chris' comment as a compliment. Thanks Chris! All beautiful readers!

surfer said...

msgirl & seachica - by any chance, are you in or near Woodinville?

Anotheramy said...

If no one claims #5 I'll be her. I had a dog like that, dumber than a box of rocks but lovable, and if I lost some weight and died my hair I might look something like her.

Anotheramy said...

Seattle readers, the question is, where you in Fremont two days ago? Poor guys had to account for shrinkage.

EmEyeKay said...

@Firebug, nice to meet you! You guys make a cute couple.

@TKO - hi, and punch your brother for me :)

@Anotheramy - no, did I miss the nude bike ride thing? Would like to chime in - I am pretty upset that it's mid-June and I still go out in boots and a parka. This is ridiculous. I'm on the beach, so it's a bit more windy, but still! It rained all morning here!

JSierra said...

I"m jealous of all you northerners! Here in South Texas it is a nice and steamy 90degrees with 64% humidity. You walk outside and it's like you are a rotisserie chicken baking in the heat. The upside is everyone is sporting a super stylin afro from all the moisture in the air.
IDK what Johnny sees in VP. I feel like one strong gust and that girl is gone with the wind.

Michelle said...

Hey, TKO! Just a lurker, but wanted to say that you look great because I didn't understand what Chris means? Love seeing all of the reader photos.

That's my Bella (who was named before Twilight.) She is pretty dumb too, but the sweetest dog ever.

Ugh...90+ here and muggy in Minnesota.

I am guessing Chris was paying a compliment. :)
Everyone is looking pretty gorgeous today.

Pog_Mor said...

Reader #3 here, mostly a lurker because I'm usually too lazy to sign in to post comments. Love reading all your comments though!

Tigercat said...

Reader #1 Are your eyeglass frames made by Oliver Goldsmith?

TKO said...

@EmEyeKay-I am going to have no need to resort to violence as I plan to make a visit to my mom's tonight and make sure she sees the toll ticket and she will take care of it for me!! :-)

@Michelle-Thanks!:-)

Cassiopeia said...

Reader 3....it's been driving me crazy who do you look like...and it finally came to me-Jillian from the bachelorette!
And that is also a compliment :)

auntliddy said...

Yeah, i love that outfit! She may hv been indoors, or the fact that she has very little body fat lets her wear warm clothes. She tries not to be pictured smiling because she doesnt like her smile. Silly, its fine!

auntliddy said...

I know!! Fir some reason she is very appealing!

anita_mark said...

@JSierra, northwesterners, maybe. I'm dying right now (I'm a winter girl) but tomorrow a heatwave is starting with temps in the 30s (90s fahrenheit) before the humidity. That weather makes me want to kill myself.

Hot weather red wine drinkers, what's a good red wine for the heat? I like heavy reds but it's too hot for them.

I am a new reader to CDAN (about 1 yr) so I have created a game for myself for Readers Photos. It's called "1st thoughts in 5 seconds". Go!

#1 Love your glasses, and your daughter clearly inherited your beautiful eyes. Go!
#2 Your tresses/peepers could not be more gorgeous. Love the story about your Bro. Go!
#3 Really? Darling Mama. Darling Bambino. You're blessed. Go!
#4 Pretty pretty pic. Identify yourself!! Go!
#5 You are obviously a doll baby, but what really impresses me is the content look on your face. In my goofy opinion, joy is the biggest gift we have and I see it here :) Go!
#6 You are an absolute cutie petutie and your hubs is easy on the eyes. Go!

@Anita Mark. Sangria. Go!!!!

Frufra said...

Sunny, just wanted to say I like you. I really like you:-).

T Lex said...

Renee Z looks like she suffers from a garden-variety eating disorder. Sad -- it probably started when she was told her face was fat.

Vanessa P looks like she doesn't eat except for a few Rolaids now and then, ingesting in other ways ...

@Frufa

I'm trying to think of a way to not sound nerdy, but you're in my top 5 (POSTERS! Get you're mind out of the gutter!!!) So thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I love to give a stranger a much-deserved compliment, and I hope that maybe some cuckoo bird can learn from my wild idiotic life. Vivas los locos!!

Frufra said...

Sunny, you are a delight. I also have to tell you that I read your story about hitting bottom, and I really relate to that. I remember my moment with equal clarity.

(And that was a heck of a thread there, eh? Still thinking about that one.)

I love the honesty and heart here at CDAN; the world would be a far better place if it was as transparent everywhere. Did not think my search for HWood gossip would lead to me learning so much from you nice people!

Frufra said...

Oh, and very rude of me - thank you for the compliment!!

firebugDVM said...

Thank you Sunny!!

And agree that reader #2 looks like the Bachelorette-- my first thought when I saw the pic!!

Frufra said...

Oh my goodness, Sunny - I just went back to that thread to see if anything else interesting had happened there, and I have to say - your follow up story is so much like mine, it's eerie.

When I hit bottom (drinking), I, too left and went to my parents' house. I knew I had to get out before I died, got pregnant, or who knows what. I was only living for the next drink, which led invariably to 20 drinks and waking up with a stranger in a strange place. I was miserable and so alone, surrounded by lost people like me.

My parents didn't get what I was into or where I was emotionally, but thank God they were there to take me in without question.

So, there I was, total damaged goods at 19 (started drinking heavily at 14), and along came this wonderful, goofball guy I went to high school with. And he loved me unconditionally, knowing all the shit I'd been through. It was a miracle, plain and simple. We've been together for 21 years.

So now, I'm that mom who attends all the PTA meetings, recycles, and is considered generally very trustworthy. You know, just living the dream here in the burbs. And believing in second chances and the sheer grace of the universe, too.

Great photos, loved your "recap" @Sunny . Now you and Frufra, get a room ! My treat. LOL.

Sarah said...

These celebrity photos are like the Hunger Games, each of these bitches is hungrier than the last!

Victoria, a little pink in your cheeks or on your lips would be nice! No more poopy lips, please!

Sunny said...

@agent**it
Make sure they have triple occupancy because you know how much I appreciate you

@frufa
I feel like I've been a broken record the last few days, but my heart breaks for people that didn't have the same support system we had. Don't kid - my mom was (is) a born again Christian and my Dad was in an unique industry/alcoholic/wasn't around much when I was younger, but it was always clear we were loved unconditionally and they had our backs regardless of our shenaningans. Thank God for awesome parents

Sunny said...

Did i just find a flaw in the "a" versus "an" rule? Why does "an unique" look completely stupid and wrong? TLTG (That was my ode to @Libby. Yes, I read ALL reader comments)

mooshki said...

"The rule is that you use a before words that start with a consonant sound and an before words that start with a vowel sound."

Salsa Lover said...

Manhattan Jungle Book... hahaha...

I'm so waiting for my photo to be posted. AHHHH!

Sunny said...

@Mookshi

Thanks for replying to my dumb comment :) I know the rule, and I know the exception for a word that starts with an "h". For example, he was AN honest man. But for some reason, it just sounds awkward when you read my sentence aloud "AN UNIQUE industry".

Anyway, I am nerdy and my kids are still sleeping so I will google it now :)

Sunny said...

@Mookshi

I googled it and now I understand what you are saying. Thanks!!!

Vanessa definitely looks anorexic. This is the body of a seven year old. Maybe she has lost weight because of Johnny being awol or she has a substance abuse concern. He certainly looks like a dabbler, he has that look that you get. I'm not judging though.

Anonymous said...

Vanessa looks like a ferret, and always has. No joke. I could never figure out what Depp saw in her.

Posh has said she doesn't like her face when she smiles, which is why she rarely does so. I wish I had that kind of control -- I smile all of the time without even knowing I'm doing it. But yeah, in that second photo, she could at least make the effort of looking into the camera phones rather than at the photographer. And that dress, while I don't hate it, looks like something from Star Trek.

I just can't with Pete Wentz's "girlfriend." Ragged bedazzled cutoffs, black tights, and motorcycle boots? No. Just no.

It's cooler in Houston today -- only 85F! Of course it's also rainy, so the humidity is 95-100%, and everyone looks like extras from Shaft.

@FRUFA

I hope you get the e-mail follow ups for comments, because i know this is coming a little late :)

I wanted to say this last night, but I was actually responding to you and trying to greet my hub as he came home late from work last night so I think I kept losing my train of thought. I love your story. I know what it's like to think "How did I get here" and wonder if anyone will love you the way you are. I am so glad you found Ron Swanson (hee hee, i love that) and that he saw through all the craziness for who you really are. These are the love stories that truly mean something. In fact, I was just watching Crazy, Stupid Love again over the weekend, and I just adore that movie because the story between Steve Carrell and Julianne Moore's characters is flawed but beautiful. Anyway, I hope you see this !!

P.S. My ex had a zany friend named Foofer whose stories were legendary. Just the screen name Frufa makes me laugh because of that maniac :)
