Blind Items Revealed

September 27, 2010

#3 Anyway, one time, this still A list Academy Award nominee/winner actor who has also done lots of television called the dealer at 3am and begged the dealer to come to his house and bring some more coke. The actor was having as huge party and someone had spilled a huge bag of coke onto white shag carpeting. Apparently a bunch of drunk and high people had all tried to use a carpet take to gather up the coke, but were so f**ked up they did not realize it was just sliding right through the rake. One person was do desperate for the coke that they vacuumed it up but this was at a time when they still had vacuum bags so they cut open the bag and the coke was all mixed up with lint and other stuff. Did not stop the people from trying to snort it though. Eventually the dealer came out and charged enough from that one sale where he managed to buy a car just from that one night.

What surprises me about this story is not who was doing so much coke. If you read the original blind, Enty says that it was Johnny Grant who told him the story. Really? Johnny Grant? He was about 105 years old and I assumed so far removed from the drug scene that I'm shocked. He was like the Grandpa in the Waltons.

As Robin Williams has said before, cocaine is God's way of telling you that you have too much money.

I believe Richard Pryor said it first.

I always find it funny that one of my chores as a kid in the 70's was "rake the carpet". Shagilicious!

Do you think the dealer bought a bitchin Camaro? A Gremlin? I really want to know

Johnny Grant was 84 when he died. Maybe he just seemed older because he'd been around forever. In CDANese, he was born a year AFTER Betty White.

Epic! Lol

I couldn't imagine those parties. Belushi cutting out 2 foot lines and racing people to the middle. They were probably getting pure enough coke to kill most blow fiends nowadays.

Lord, I didn't think I could hate him more, but apparently it's possible. I've tried to watch The Crazy Ones because I love James Wolk and Hamish Linklater, but Williams is so, SO annoying I just can't. What a waste of two great actors.

No wonder people go into selling drugs, thats alotta zash. Who was there I wonder? Was Marsha involved? She dont seem like no party animal, lol. Guess he all cleaned up now. I hope for his sake.

Sunny you must know that song "Bitchin' Camero" to have said that. Hilarious!

Aunt Licky: I believe this was back in the day before Marshal was his kids nanny or even before he married. Robin will freely tell anyone of his crazy drug days more as a precautionary tale than anything. This story is probably part of his own stand up routine.

I don't get how this is such a shock or great reveal. It's years old and Robin Williams has always been honest about how crazy into coke he was. It doesn't shock me at all

CJ I havent heard that! I would totally have tried that. If I was Rich, famous and hung out with belushi...no one knew it was, addictive then...lol. my favorite quote about coke..."the only thing cocaine made me wanna do was more cocaine"-Nile Rogers...I loved his book.
