Blind Item #11
This former A+ list mostly movie actor is hoping his franchise will give his career a boost. If not, there is always the drug trade which he seems to be embracing with relish.

Johnny Depp/Pirates
Woody?
Planet of the Apes the franchise
Was he A+?
Yeah I think throughout the 90s he probably was. Cheers, White Men Can't Jump, the Larry Flyntmovie, etc.
But Harrelson's franchise was the Hunger Games and its over. Wouldn't it be "new franchise"? Don't think of him as A+ in film tv maybe but this sounds like a former A + film actor to me.
Sean Penn
I think this is Harrelson, and I still consider him to be A/A- at the least. But I realize that Enty has differing standards from me a lot of the time. Woody has had consistent, relevant work for years so I don't even think his career needs a boost. I can see him getting involved in the Mary Jane industry though.
harrelson's new franchise...does him starring in the Han Solo movie count as being part of the star wars franchise? wasnt he just cast as han solo's mentor or something. surprised he isnt prepping big time to go into the legal weed business!!
Depp and POTC . Next installment comes out in May, and he has all those financial woes /debt that are on the news.
Tom Hardy. (Former A+ during Mad Max Fury Road) Upcoming franchise: Splinter Cell, which has been in development for around four years and is only coming to light because of his financial troubles. He took a $2M GBP loss on Taboo alone.
Tom hardy for sure taboo was shite and bombed big time
Running drugs and laundering money for Leo no doubt
There's Dunkirk coming up too
I watched most of one episode of Taboo and that's all I could stand. He thinks highly of himself, but a great artist he ain't.
mmmm Relish. Is there ketchup and mustard?????
Depp's career does not need a boost, he's got projects backed up. He's not "former". I say Harrelson.
Taboo did not bomb. It's my favorite show and the best thing I've seen on TV in a long time. LOVE it!
This is not a fan board. There's tumblr for that. And yes, Taboo bombed badly. In fact, Tom Hardy himself reported a loss in the millions. And it's not the first project that he lost his shirt on.
Sorry for not commenting correctly.
Thanks for reminding me that, although I've been a CDAN reader since 2006, this kind of unnecessary BS is why I almost never comment any more.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
I haven't seen it yet. I've heard mixed reviews, but I'm willing to check it out just for him. ;)
This is Depp.
Enty describes him as "former A+" after Alice bombed and all the terrible divorce publicity. Depp has the new Pirates coming out, which is supposed to be huge, and they aired a popular superbowl ad.
Vin Diesel - xXx franchise
