ReplyDeleteLoved the metallic and paler, soft shades of the gowns. Altho a beautiful blue, Jennifer Garner’e gown looked a tad garish in a sea of ethereal. Too much asymmetry going down with bodice and big hair.
When Garner presented In Memoriam her head kept flopping to the big hair side. She just can't pull this off.

ReplyDeleteShe wore it out of respect for her Father. It's a traditional dress of his tribe, which starts with an "E" but not Ethiopian. Something like Estrician maybe. I thought she looked fantastic, and that lady is absolutely hilarious!

ReplyDeleteDanai Gurira wore my favorite dress of the night, the back of the dress is so beautiful, thick folded sections, and that colour and fabric is perfection, I can't say enough how stunning she looks. Her photos from the side show the full design. Sleek minimalist style is my personal favorite. Her gown is one of the few that actually said "High Fashion" to me, (as opposed to country prom 1986, or even worse 1976). I had to hunt down the designer, Gabriela Hearst. Gal Gadot's dress was my second favorite, at least in this grouping. She captured the old Hollywood style, something Lulu might have worn. Some of the worst dressed were doozies though.
ReplyDeleteI dont get it, Gal's necklace was beautiful and the top of the dress was stunning, but it did nothing for her figure, and the 2nd part of the dress just falls wrong. It is either way to low or just does not belong, I cant decide. But it falls wrong, she is a gorgeous woman with an amazing body, her after party dress did her no favors either.

Gal Gadot looked stunning. Garner looked better than usual, but i feel like I’ve seen that dress before on multiple other colors
ReplyDeleteI think gal gadot may have looked best of the night to me. very charlestonesque , which I am not a fan of but somehow very striking on her. it works and that necklace with tiny real boobs is very hot. I like it

Bullock needs to get over the long, straight hair thing. It’s really aging her. Along with, you know, age.
Garner looked lovely, but would have liked to see a soft updo. Her hair is perfect for something Gibson girly in that dress. Great color and great makeup. Tiffany rules and shows it. Gal would look good in anything and I think a choker of pearls with a large diamond would've been a better choice for a necklace. Pastel pinks and beiges were all over the place, and Gina's dress is stunning. I think she looks great.
ReplyDeleteDanai's dress is so pretty, but the fit looks a bit off. Maybe it's her pose, but she really looks uncomfortable. I really wish someone had given Sandy some better advice on the hair. It looks wet and hard here and the dress even harder. She's so much prettier than this look shows.
Wow, loving these photos and having so much fun posting. Been an occasional poster, like one a year for the past 7 years now. I've come out of the CDAN closet because scotch.
