during the filming of Papillon in serbia/montenegro, I remember hunnam saying he was ghosting his his gf (the drugdealingfamily longtime gf) for 'method' reasons. guess he found this girl while filming over there. papillon coming out in august, rami malek is his costar plays dustin hoffman's character w/the glass of the original '73 film.
am I the only woman that finds charlie hunnam not attractive? he has a nice body but his face is meh. reminds me of other male butterfaces, like adam levine.

Charlie has butter face in SOME pics but google him. More often than not he looks like an adorable guy turned rough but in a good way.
Funny, just watched the original a couple of days ago. Didn't even remember they are doing a remake.
Watch the first one- great all the way around. I really like Frankie Schaffner movies- totally underrated as a director.
I've been on a bit of a McQueen binge. He's another one who's just more of a star than great actor, but that's what you want in a star. He knew how to stay in his circle of competence. Like Redford and Harrison Ford. When they stray, it's unwatchable. But being a leading star is more about look, X factor, camera perfection and role/director picking.
McQueen put me on an Ali McGraw streak. She can't really act at all, but who cares? Amazing screen presence and X factor at her peak. You cannot take your eyes off her when she's on screen. Her humanity comes thru, and that's a rare thing.

Papillon is one of my all time favorite movies. Have seen it countless times. I love Charlie but I hope they don't ruin the remake.
NO! Absolutely NOT! This has to stop. Papillon should not be, and can not be, remade. It's perfect as is, why ruin it with the millennials' need for CGI and soundtracks that attack the audience like an invasion of chaos?
Nope. His face is beautiful. Especially his mischievous smile.
Poor Charlie. But he is not a "mostly movie actor" as Enty suggests. He is forever Jax Teller from SOA.
