Blind Item #12

Apparently there is a new cure for whatever condition is ailing this former A+ list singer turned A/A- lister wannabe actress. She takes LSD once a week like clockwork.

Well sure you should give it at least 3 days in between doses or so I heard from a documentary about substance abuse on PBS in school during health class, the patterns! ;)

Agree its gotta be GaGa... there is some recent research linking LSD as a possible promising treatment for depression

Nemo said...

There a lot of studies being done right now testing small doses of LSD as a treatment for things like depression and anxiety (same with small doses of Special K), so meh.

Took it in the 70's, still waiting for "flashbacks".

Cary Grant took LSD as a form of therapy.

Yep-the science on the positive effects of LSD is now pretty well established. Nothing makes more clear how distorted the medical system in this country has become than the fact LSD and marijuana, both of which have been shown to have many positive results without being chemically addictive, are still illegal in large parts of the country, while incredibly addictive and destructive opioids have been legally pushed across the country. I hope as a country we are finally waking up on this-if Gaga becomes a public advocate on this all the better.

If Gag Gag is taking hallucinogens, it may improve her worldview. I hope so.

I have done LSD and mushrooms several times and I think they were mostly good for me. Certainly expanded my mind, as promised. Last time was 20+ years ago (natural, not synthetic). Would not do them now, however.

Every time you eat hallucinogenic mushrooms, your poop smells horribly like rotten mushrooms for a day or two, though.

Ketamine is another new drug being used for depression.

sign me up because honestly anti depressants are fucking poison with so many side effects that the doctors dont warn you about. If you are going to go on them, check the fine print and then check it again. Honestly, I've been having terrible withdrawal symptoms coming off this stuff. If there are other avenues to explore do it please.

@Ervin,
Yes, Special K is one of the street names for it.

Gaga would probably be better off using PCP

That's my thinking too.

It's interesting to see all the pro-drug comments. The programming is working perfectly.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pro-drug, I love many of them, that's why they're so popular. I've had my fair share of most of them, well, except for heroin, cocaine and meth or I guess I could say I wouldn't be here, but I have tried them. As for LSD, ecstasy and cannabis, well. Let's just say that I have done several "thumbprints" of raw, crystal LSD that are equivalent to I would say 800 to 1000 hits of the paper form of the drug.

The times were good, the people were fun, revelations were made that we all are, indeed, connected in ways that are not perceived in this quote "normal" world. Feelings can be had and an observation about nature can be shared that bring an overwhelming sense of confidence and peace within the human organism that could possibly make it seem that eventually, in the long run, everything will be alright. Yes. Sure. It's true. The drug is right in many aspects. It's a STRONG, shared feeling, because really.... no worries man. It really is true BUT, BUT, therein LIES THE DECEPTION. It definitely WILL be alright in the long run but damn sometimes that long run is a hell of a long ways away when things immediately around you are so fucked up.

There's a truth to be told about LSD that noone's talking about because certain programs gathered enough elemental steam to survive for quite some time and the programming is deep and hard. The Countercultural Revolution had too many good timey, fun feelings attached to it and many of those deceptions bled through to the current generations. Unfortunately there aren't enough sane voices from that generation to actually tell the truth about how horrible it really turned out. Many of those people aren't around to share their stories because they are either dead from gateway drugs and overdose or way too spun out from the spiral of sex and drug addiction.

According to Dave McGowan and a few others, that ILLUSION of peace was the ultimate goal, it was just enough to pacify many of those that spent their lives pursuing that peace through sex, drugs and rock and roll. It WAS just enough to get MOST of us away from ANY real matters of political importance AND abandon any real involvement in society altogether. In all actuality many of us were unwitting communist sympathizers in a culture that was unsustainable in a democratic republic. Many of us THOUGHT we were activists in some sense but in all reality we were simply funneled into other carefully watched environmental groups that do nothing anyway. This experimentation has been carried on for generations and generations and STILL not enough people have seen through the deception, these drug and sexual "revolutions" are still continually being fed money to make constant resurgences (this latest one involving pedophilia - Miley Cyrus).

When you are young you will ALWAYS believe you have life by the balls and that you can handle anything. That ILLUSION is capitalized upon by the powers that be that want to make you ineffectual by the time you are wise enough to do something about it. They have succeeded in compromising and mentally debilitating much of the public in this way by inculcating in each and every one of us our vice and distortion through these means. You are not told that the drugs you do NOW, which really are fun and not that harmful, YET, WILL BURN YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM OUT SO HARD YOU HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SELF MEDICATE THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

Those are the facts, drugs fuck you up and everyone already there is too stupid and stuck on the past to tell you all the truth.

But I thought Gaga's issue was fibromyalgia? Small doses of LSD for pain?

mandijoi said...

I just listened to a podcast about this. It's been promising. People are given a very low dosage, so low that they don't trip. The first dose you do feel a little weird, but I think it's every few days of low doses at first.

Two of the hosts admitted they have depression, and decided to try the therapy. One of them thought it made a difference, the other didn't.

Personally, I think it's a good idea to try various different things to see if we can help people with mental illness.

+1,000 very certain cases I would agree with use. I think big pharma will some how get their hands on any part of any drug that people are accepting of using and just exploit it and make people addicted because reality is getting too hard for people to handle. I grew up with two pot heads in my family, they for sure form glass realities and it's a real side effect that no one talks about.
