Blind Item #2

The alliterate former actress turned royal is isolating her husband from anyone who who would possibly counsel him to separate from the former actress. She wants to be his only friend. To rely on her. It kind of feels like something an abusive man would do.

I find it hard to believe that HM would let this go so far without stepping in. If MM has made such a mess of things, why has no one done anything to put their foot down. Everything they are seeming to do is slow. It's like they are too proper for their own good if all of this is true about her...planting stories of Kate and her breakup with her longtime friend. How can one A- list (I would argue C- because I had not heard of her) have so much power without all of her sources leaking?

gauloise said...

I have many guy friends who are now like this, women abuse too.

@Opinions, because Harry prob defends MM ferociously, this is what happens with these abused guys, so old friends either step back or, speak up and get alienated. Either way, isolation and dependence on the abuser is the result.

Now! said...

I agree with Gauloise. Harry may be insisting that this is what he wants.

He does look awful recently, though. Rumpled and shabby and thin and balding.

And generally happier when doing solo arrangements. Maybe because when he's on his own he doesn't have to worry about offending Meg by doing the wrong thing.

Snatch and Ladders said...

It is very much like a game of chess, with the British Royal Family, in the way it moves. And I'm not just talking about the gifs and memes etc. The worrying thing is that Harry has long been rumoured to be on meds, and the rumours are not just on social media sites. If she has convinced him to stop them, this is all very "off" about the length of time that is taking for the inevitable to happen, getting rid of her. But then and again, look who has just stepped forward...Lord Geidt. He will be the one to aide the Queen in ending this shitshow.

Opinions, Schmopinions said...

We all know this won't end well, but what I do think is that this could go on for years if she isolates him like this. He seems extremely stubborn. Abusers break a person down to the point where they truly believe that they need them.

gauloise said...

For most people, it goes on for the rest of their lives. I am sure Megan is playing the persecuted victim card every chance she gets, which wlll only make him feel more responsible for her.

https://www.channel24.co.za/Gossip/Royal-News/harry-feels-guilty-about-meghan-being-targeted-so-much-20190114

@Nutty He reminds me of Edward VIII, before Wallace he was so dashing and kind of cocky in a charming way, just like Harry, after a few years with her, he was a beat down shell, who looked so weak and lifeless.

Now! said...

I think Snatch and Ladders has a good point.

Lord Geidt is reportedly known for his ability to "manage" Harry, which could mean so many things.

One of Meg's many challenges is that she likes to think she can do everything herself.

Serve as her own stylist, write her own speeches, do her own PR and social media, and probably manage Harry's mental situation as well.

Yoga and meditation as a replacement for meds?

Unknown said...

PH would still be balding without MeAgain (genetics). Going off meds would fit in with the new age, all organic, natural lifestyle that MeAgain has PH on now. Since getting married to MeAgain, PH hasn’t gone to any social events without her (while MeAgain has gone out with friends and has had friends come over to KP). The only times he seems to go out without her glommed to his side for the entire time has been for official trips/appearances, so she could be isolating him. As for the BRF moving slowly to shut it down, PH may be ferociously denying that anything is wrong (she may be gaslighting him as well), so the BRF has been taking him at his word rather than start a family civil war.

What kind of meds are we talking about? I am assuming antidepressants. You have to taper off taking them VERY slowly.

Snatch and Ladders said...

Yes @Unknown, the gaslighting after all the love bombing. She's following all the text book examples and cases. That's what makes me think she's crazy, she's not clever or smart enough, to divert from the norm, to alter the paths and patterns, to cover herself up, as far as these type of relationships go. This stings me, as it must to many here, who have seen friends or family suffer abuse in similar manners.

But really, where is the evidence of MM doing all this dastardly stuff?
When I see a full court press like this, I have to wonder what is motivating it, and who benefits. Because I don't know the truth of it other than observation of pictures and video, and all this publicity could just be major distraction to keep 'the common folk' from being aware of political machinations or other drama. This theme has played out over world-wide.
I did find all the self-consciousness, belly touching and pushing aside of the coat to showcase it kind of off putting, but now I'm stepping back and just observing with an open mind.

The problem is, Markle's malevolent influence is bigger than just screwing up Harry's life.

Her social media and PR is still trying to aggrandize her at the expense of the rest of the Royal Family, including the Cambridges.

This weekend's story in multiple tabloids suggesting William has cheated on his wife - an obvious Markle plant - is a good example. Yesterday she also had one of her Soho House buddies tweet-and-delete "Everyone knows about the affair, darling. Even us Jews."

(The man's name is Giles Coren - look him up. He looks creepy and has managed to introduce racism into food writing.)

JL said...

The way she is constantly touching him and grabbing his hand, even physically directing him. It is as though she figured out how needy of touch he is and has used it to control like like someone training a dog. There are so many times he tries to reject her advances yet he always relents.

Anyway there is a big break from the show now.

Unfortunately Meghan’s behavior could also be interpreted as the classic codependent of an alcoholic, trying to keep him on the straight and narrow. If Harry has/had a problem with alcohol then the stress of a new marriage, impending child and Meghan’s unpopularity would have him very very tightly wound. Like so very many others she will learn that trying to manage a situation like this with control just makes you crazy. This could account for supposed her bouts of temper.

I thought that was weird (like something a MOTHER would tweet). I expected someting like, “congrats on making the cover of TIME magazine bro!” Taht never sat well for me. I had every intention to tell my fake ex at the time to stay teh fuck away from that creepy man.

But I WOULD have encouraged him to find NEW friends...

I'm sitting on the sidelines reading everyone's perception of MM and PH. I just want to point out that it sounds like many of you take every small jester, tabloid article or photo and create a narrative that suits your perspective regarding her motivations and his mental health.
I am neutral about the Royals, and yes it is interesting to read about. But we have no idea what is going on in their lives 90% of the time, nor do we know what they are thinking.
PH has a pregnant newlywed wife - I would imagine he would be quite protective. And who of us would want to read all the bashing of our spouse on a daily basis.
Yes, I wish she didn't appear so forceful in her quest to "make a mark" as a royal, and would just sit back, observe and learn.
Nutty seems to have a lot of insight, thanks for sharing.

Lightgirl, yes all possibilities are at work. It is of interest because of so many levels. Harry, raised in the firm has chosen to stay in the firm and to incorporate his wife into the firm. Based on her actions only, she seems to want a global brand separate from the firm when the way it works is, if that is the choice, you are subsumed into the firm’s brand. So right there is a political problem and a possible psychological problem for denying this fact and going roque so soon in the marriage. Think this is what gave rise to public negativity. Then there is the possibility that Harry’s partying ways became more of a problem for him. Have seen this situation many times. And without help/education the partner never manages it well because it just can’t be managed at all. I can also imagine there may be a personality disorder just due to how many ill advised actions she has taken. But the behaviors do often look very similar to those of someone dealing with a partner’s alcohol problem herself. (Example distancing from the drinking friends.) Racism? Seems the RF welcomed her with open arms and everyone seems to love Doria. I think anti American fits better as well as the old basic class snobbery. I do not give credence to yachting stories and moonbumps. Yes we don’t know. It’s all conjecture. And as I said, it is over for a while.

@Cody, Lightgirl

Britain is currently in the middle of a very protracted process, the Brexit, which doesn't exactly take place as swiftly as the tabloids (which were almost all in favor of Leave) had predicted. Meghan offers a distraction in order not to look at the mess which is happening at the same time.

Also, Meghan Markle blinds that are basically all about Meghan being the biggest bitch who's ever lived are quite popular with both American and British audiences. Many commenters here describe Meghan as an intruder. Some Brits actually regard her as a foreigner, and hidden or not-so-hidden racists will blame it all on her "difficult personality" with the same energy they were birthers who were totally not over skin color a few years ago.

This has got to be a chess game at this point. Yes royals want Meghan to fall in line but she is also creating relevancy and press they need to survive. After "commoner" Kate being the first non-titled Queen to be came in you still need to continue to evolve in relevance in order to justify your paycheck from England. Meghan is AMERICAN, independent, mixed race, colored past. I do think they worry that if she ENTIRELY cuts off from the family and there were a bad breakup she would out EVERYTHING she knows. She is opportunist first and would re-enter Hollywood, contact LA friends in the biz, to do a huge expose and Oprah interview POST Duchess days. You know it. Sure they are aware she has other friends, means, possibilities vs Fergie who still had to suck up to them for money at some point. MM has the potential to head back into another career, her old one, AND having royal baby DOES keep you in the mix.

Approval ratings for the royal family are down 11% just in the last year. I think that scares them more than MM's antics. If ratings went up they would grit their teeth and suffer in silence. Charles has something abysmal like a 32% approval ratings so when Queenie bites the dust (rumors say she's recently diagnosed with leukemia) I'm not sure the monarchy will survive. Certainly not in it's current form.

Now! said...

Charles' health is also not very good, however.

You can see his very swollen right hand and ankles on the images from his current Caribbean trip, which suggests a heart problem. I don't see him living to a ripe old age. Most of the Windsor men have died natural deaths in their 70s, and Charles is 70 now.

Philip, who is 97, is a Mountbatten and has always been a health freak.

I think the monarchy is a William and George game now.

AbbyRock said...

When the Queen and probably more so, Philip, have had enough of MM, the ax will fall. Might not be like Henry and his wives but worse in a way because MM will be high and dry. If this happens, it would be a good idea for her to avoid tunnels.

Her response was that would multiple gov't agencies looking into MM's background, with her social security number, etc., have missed that?

This is getting good!

Also, Princes Charles has always been "puffy". He's an incredibly healthy eater--was organic decades before it became trendy. He also doesn't drink to excess (that's Camilla's department). I'd be very surprised if he has a heart condition.

Anonymous said...

Phillip is 97 and the Queen is 92. They better haul ass to get the job done because Charles isn't competent. Nutty I saw those pictures of Charles swollen hands and ankles. His health is not good at all. You would think they would monitor his heart failure better. I despise Camilla so the faster Charles hands the throne over to William the happier I'll be. William has always been my favorite. He got both the looks and the brains. They just don't age well.

I read something interesting last weekend. It relates back to that planted article about Kate and her friend feuding. William has the life that Harry always wanted. Living quietly in a country mansion, the close friendship circle that guards his privacy, the wife and children. I guess the area near Sandringham is spectacular. Out in the middle of nowhere, but lots of great pubs and restaurants. Country sports galore because of all the aristocracy living nearby. So what does poor impulsive, thick Harry do? He marries the world's biggest attention whore and an American with no connections. MM is not going to live quietly in obscurity at Frogmore Cottage. She didn't invest the time and energy in snaring Harry to go quietly into the night. BTW her Twitter account is public again this morning. I so want to post on her Twitter account about the correlation between jet fuel fumes and ALS. Living at Frogmore in Heathrow's flight landing path sucking jet fuel fumes isn't healthy. Sunbathe away Meg.

Sagan said...

Was Harry that starved for love after losing his mum that, when I-Wanna-Be-A-Royal Megan came a'sniffing, that he thought it was an all encompassing love? He was his mummy's favorite son, and being bereft of that love can fuck up anyone, let alone the son of a woman who was (probably) killed by his paternal grandparents.

Perhaps once she pushes out the 7th in line for the Throne, things will get better.

So we know she can act. What else does Harry have to offer the world, should be abdicate and divorce his family? I don't think he can make a living being a soccer ambassador...

Now! said...

Yeah, Ann - there's one solid rebuttal to the argument that the Queen just loves Meg and all is well in the family, and that's Frogmore Cottage.

The British aristocracy cares about titles, jewellery, and real estate. Meg never gets the good jewellery - that goes to Kate or Eugenie - and assigning Harry and Meghan that said little pile of bricks (most American orthodontists have a bigger and nicer house!) that has a history as a servants' quarters and a highly unfortunate location is the Queen's way of saying I Don't Like You.

Not to mention the Wallis connection. Wallis is buried just a few feet away from Meg's future home. Does it get any clearer?

Aquagirl said...

@Nutty: Totally agree. Not to mention that the Gloucester’s had said they planned to move out of KP because their kids were grown and they didn’t need so much space. So clearly that apt. was originally meant for H&M, until someone (I’m assuming W&K) put a stop to it and suddenly the Gloucester’s were too old to move, and H&M were assigned to Frogmore. BTW, on her Twitter MM refers to it as Frogmore Estate & showed a collage of photos which were mostly Frogmore House (with one tiny picture of Frogmore Cottage). Her followers jumped all over her. As I mentioned in another post (I think about her dog being too old to travel), she’s a chronic liar but never seems to take into account how easily her lies can be proven false. Clearly a sign of mental illness.

@Ann: Totally agree with you, especially about Philip & the Queen hauling ass. I hope that the Queen does not have leukemia, because at her age, not much can be done. My mother had it at 70, went into remission, and still died within a year. I agree about both Charles’ health and his incompetence. Theoretically, the Queen, Philip, and Charles could all be gone in the next few years. They need to get their ducks in a row. Now.

Aquagirl said...

@Sagan: MM actually can’t act. I live in the US & out of all the people I know, only one person had heard of her before she hooked up with Harry. And she’s doing a horrible acting job now with that constant manic grin and stripper walk.

I love the comments after her Frogmore Estate post. Downplaying that the Queen put them in the servant's quarters. Dear Meg Frogmore Cottage IS in the cheap seats. Can you imagine their faces? :) Diana always hated Frogmore.

@Aquagirl I'm sorry about your Mom. Cancer is the great equalizer. Doesn't matter how much money or power you have cancer doesn't discriminate.

@Nutty Frogmore Cottage was indeed the Queen's big FU. Without a doubt the Queen told them exactly what she thought. William gets gorgeous Anmer Hall and Harry gets the servants' cottage.

The couple and their family moved on up to Frogmore House after George became the Prince of Wales.

It's obvious that there are many Americans and those not in the Commonwealth realms commenting here. With respect, you don't understand the British Constitutional Monarchy. You view it as entertainment and a popularity contest. It isn't. Charles will be crowned King, health permitting. If not, the monarchy will end. They are unelected and they don't earn their lavish public office. As such, the BRF do not decide who gets to become King/Queen. That's not how it works. If they so wish, they can run for public office like other politicians. Just as we can't choose, neither can they. This is why the 1936 abdication of Edward VIII caused a constitutional crisis, shocking the foundation of the entire system. The monarchy was in peril. But that was the 1930s and monarchies don't have the power or support that they once flouted. Republicans don't single out individual members of the BRF. Advocacy for republics has a wider purpose. Markle may be but one piece to abolishing the monarchy in the UK, but that would be because they fund the parasites. Almost $10M to fund construction on a publicly owned house for M&H, plus round the clock police (since the site isn't secure) is utter grasping greed for the 6th in line to the throne and his unpopular wife. Had she been popular, UK taxpayers would have been more generous with their criticism.

Now! said...

With all due respect, you are incredibly naive if you assume the British Royal Family *must* continue along the orderly succession track it has used since the reign of Queen Victoria, and arguably back to George I.

European royalty has shown itself to be extremely adaptable, particularly now that the Christian religious faith that was once their reason for being has lessened in influence.

The Danish Royalty - the oldest line in Europe - pulled some manoeuvres to put Queen Margrethe on the throne in 1972, when the actual successor was a male cousin with intellectual challenges.

Spanish royalty was exiled and then restored in 1975, and then King Juan Carlos was hustled away again in 2014 when corruption made his position untenable.

And the Dutch monarchs retire when they hit a certain age - usually around Charles' age - so a young, vital person is always on the throne.

With Brexit, the UK is in for a rough ride over the next decade or so. They'll need a strong, steady hand as politicians come and go.

And the Firm's #1 priority is its own survival. If that means finding a method to dump Charles in favor of William, they'll find a way.

The Royal Family are kind of in a hard position, by "modernising" they actually kind of lost the thing that made them special.

Marrying women like Markle, who should be doing nothing more than hawking diet tea on Insta, just makes you wonder what is point of supporting these "common" people to live so lavishly when tax payers are suffering.

People say it is for tourism, but even without them, people would still visit Buckingham Palace, etc. Its not like anyone who travels to the UK ever sees them anywhere.

Mary said...

Given that Meghan’s mother was part of a swami, “consciousness” cult when she met Thomas Markle she is familiar with how cults control people, by restricting their diets, cutting proteins so their minds are dulled, isolating them from family and old friends who would recognize odd changes and would try to help them. Meghan seems to be imposing the same type of conditions on Harry so she can control him and exploit his position. His family should join together and demand the queen’s physician examine him, run blood and other tests

Anonymous said...

@Gauloise you said it perfectly. When MM came into the royal family it destroyed the mystique. There's nothing special about royal family today. They should have imposed some form of a genteel exile for Harry/MM to make the marriage more palatable. Moving them to the British Virgin Islands or another Commonwealth country to live out their days in anonymity.

@Dear Unknown I was politely using an euphemism for Charles dying. Considering Charles and his health issues (and advanced age) I don't think his reign will be long. We better hope not with his abysmal approval ratings. When William ascends the throne it will make history. Once again a Lancaster will take back the British throne. The long game for the War of Roses will be won by the Lancasters. England will finally have an English king sitting on the throne. Diana was more British than the German Windsors who have made quite the mess for William to clean up.

Anonymous said...

Half Brit here! (and no, I'm not "that" Unknown - no idea why Blogger hates me and refuses to acknowledge my login). Prince William can absolutely be king. If Charles passes before his mother, Queen Elizabeth, then the line of succession will pass to Prince William. If Queen Elizabeth passes, Charles can claim the throne as he is next in line or he can abdicate to his son, Prince William. In either case, both are perfectly fine and in accord with the Succession to the Crown Act of 2013 and if Charles abdicates to his son, then it would require Parliament to approve legislation to allow this to occur (as Parliament regulates succession per the Act of Succession 1700 and the Succession to the Crown Act of 2013 - Charles will automatically become king upon his mother's death, but if he were to abdicate for any reason, then Parliament gets involved. You can still reign as king without having to be formally crowned).

So the person who decided to interject obviously doesn't understand how this all works (which is a shame, as I assume they are British themselves?). Further, the Royal Family doesn't acquire all of it's funding through tax payer money. The Sovereign Grant is from the treasury and funded by the tax-payers certainly, but the Queen also surrenders all profits from the Crown Estate to the government (which accumulates FAR more money than what the grant gives her, so the British government absolutely profits from this exchange). The Grant pays for Royal Family's travel, palace upkeep, utilities, payroll, etc. It does not cover the cost of security and royal ceremonies.

The Queen's private income is from the Privy Purse, and that is made up of assets and land that have been part of the Duchy of Lancaster for hundreds of years (including commercial, residential, and agricultural properties - ie, things that generate income). This income is what is applied to cover costs that the Sovereign Grant doesn't cover. Further, Queen Elizabeth has her own personal fortune going on (she inherited properties and estates from her family line). When she passes, I presume that Charles (who has his own personal wealth going on and income from the Duchy of Cornwall) will inherit some of this, along with his siblings. Speaking of the Duchy of Cornwall, that income covers the expenses of Prince William and Kate (and their children), as well as Prince Harry and MeAgain.

Now as for what the tax payers do pay for - that depends. If the location is considered a Heritage Site or something akin to that, then yes, the tax payers will pay for renovations and such (an example being the renovation of Buckingham Palace). And the Royals do not spend the entirety of their annual Sovereign Grant, btw - they often return funds to its purse for use on future expenditures, like the BP renovation. They are actually quite frugal in comparison to other governmental programmes and persons.

It doesn't take that much effort to Google this information (and I didn't even have to call up my mum for clarification). As for the running for office bit, yes, of course they can run for office (any Royal can run except for the Queen if I remember correctly) as can members of the House of Lords. They can even become Prime Minister if elected - but they cannot be King/Queen and Prime Minister (or any other elected office). They will have to abdicate one or the other (they cannot hold both if memory holds). But to be frank, no Royal is going to run for office - they have no reason to.

Thank you, Unknown (@1:50 PM). I was wondering what the heck the other unknown was talking about.

Has anyone seen the new article in the DM? The CEO of Fridababy, a parenting company based in Florida, took out a full page ad in The NY Times featuring an open letter to MM. She goes into very specific detail about the aftermath of giving birth (she uses the word ‘vagina’ quite a lot,) and encourages MM to NOT have her photo taken outside the Lindo Wing. Sounds like Sarah Latham is on the job! Still wonder how they’re going to get the baby?

MM's friend ran a poll and it failed to give them the answer they wanted. People want her to stand in front of the hospital for the traditional royal baby photo. I guess now they are trying a new approach. It isn't working considering the comments on DM.

I notice that William will be traveling to New Zealand at the time of the birth (or “birth”, who knows) to speak with victims of the recent terror attack.

Convenient that he will be far, far away when whatever happens, happens.

Yesterday another UK news site went through the procedure for a royal birth. Step by step. My eyes lit up on the step where the royal physician goes to Buckingham Palace and signs off on the documents confirming details about his presence at the royal birth. If there is a surrogate there is no sneaking past the royal physician. That is unless they plan to bribe him/her.

Another little tidbit yesterday- new approval ratings for royals. Harry was first. William and Kate 2/3, the Queen 4th, and poor Meghan came in SIXTH. I'm sure she's having a bad day today. How dare Brits not love her!

I didn't read all the nonsense in response to my earlier post, save Nutty because she was respectful and does make sense. However, I know the BRF, am a citizen of the Commonwealth. I don't proclaim to know about other monarchies so that is irrelevant. I corrected many misapprehensions about the British monarchy. William will not ascend the throe before his father under any circumstance save reasons of incapacity or death. He will not abdicate for reasons already given.

And not one of you have got it yet. Again, Charles will be King, health permitting or the monarchy will be abolished.

Frankly, if an American is claiming they "don't understand what I'm on about", it is irrelevant. You don't understand the Constitutional Monarchy, so it figures ... I don't understand the American presidential nuances, either but I'm not arrogant enough to assume I do and post on blogs insulting those who live under a CM.

Most of that long "unknown" was drivel.

Part 2: @Ann: thank you for your response re Charles' health, it's hard to predict but he is ageing rapidly.
@last anon: why are you posting about the income derived for the Monarch etc? What has that got to do with my post? I hope you're not a lawyer, you wouldn't get far in court making such irrelevant submissions ...

LOL so because I'm a Half-Brit (meaning I have both my British citizenship and my American citizenship), my opinion therefore does not matter to you because I am in the States? I'm sure there are many Ex Pats here who would wholly disagree with you, including my mum (who is FROM the UK - Wales and Scotland, respectively). My grandfather was at Dunkirk and was part of the Royal Horse Artillery, so please spare me your drivel that I do not know what I'm talking about. I *do* know what I'm talking about because my mother spent a lot of time educating myself and my siblings about the UK and her monarchy *because I'm a fucking citizen*. We were literally just talking about all of this shit the other day because so many folks do NOT understand how the monarchy works (yourself evidently included).

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that I needed to prove my worth by busting out my Beano books and declaring my undying love for Ribena, Bananamilk, and Mushy Peas for you to take note. You are literally trying to make this into a pissing match because you're on that side of the Pond and I'm in the States (psst...it doesn't fucking matter).

Please spare me your holier-than-thou bullshit. Everything I stated is correct. It doesn't matter if I live in the US now - I still have a faint British accent (from when I lived abroad as a child) and I still absolutely support the British Royal Family and the Commonwealth just as I support the United States and her Government. I'm allowed, as a person who straddles both sides of the spectrum, to state things on both topics without having to prove myself to those such as yourself. You're just butt-hurt that I dared to contradict you. Get over yourself. Your opinion does not reflect the entirety of the UK any more than mine does.

@Unknown 11:41 comment: You specifically said that if Charles is not crowned King, the Monarchy would end. That is incorrect.
