Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize and bombs the shit out of the world.
Jussie increases skepticism of reported hate crimes, takes police resources away from addressing violent crime in Chicago (that overwhelmingly harms blacks) and gets nominated for an NAACP image award!
Also - the image award nominations were very closely timed with the dropping of charges against Jussie. I don't think the Fox / NAACP transaction would have taken place if they though Jussie would still be facing charges, so it looks like they all knew ahead of time how things would work out in Chicago!
The didn't count on Chicago corruption being exposed to the public view.
Jussie winning that award would be the absolute peak of hypocrisy. I'm kind of hoping he wins it - Brains will melt.
I do enjoy the conspiracy theory that he snitched on a lot of bad Hollywood people to the feds to get that sweetheart deal, but it's doubtful.
The city of Chicago just published a letter they sent to Smolett saying they know he lies, he orchestrated the fake attack and he owes the city over $130K for wasting people's time and city resources. He has a week to pay, and if he doesn't... they're coming after him again with more charges.

@Brayson, I doubt that Rahm or the CPD would be putting the AG on blast if Jussie was a snitch. They try to avoid drawing attention to CI's.

@Bay, Why not, he just made Rahm, the CPD and the entire city of Chicago look like chumps, and the deal would have been with the feds not the locals. Also Jussie was already in the public eye, it's not like they could draw anymore attention to him.

He doesn't seem to taking the "be quiet and humble" approach to all of this so far, I can't stand the thought of him giving a speech. Im sure his demeanor will be very similar to his concert in early February.

Good for Chicago. Empire's latest episode hit a record low audience because Jussie was featured. Empire will have a decision to make because the bad PR is hurting their show.
I wonder when the voting was done for the NAACP image awards (or even how winners chosen). If voting deadline was during his 'victim'(before hoax evidence) period then he may well win. Just can't believe leadership would let him be named.

@SDailey judging by the way Reagan, HW Bush, Clinton, W Bush, Obama, & now Trump have all ran AGAINST starting new wars & ending old wars, and not a damn one done it, it should lead us all to realize that it doesn't matter who we elect, it's just gonna be 24/7, 365 war, from now on out.
