Blind Item #2 - Reader Blind Item - Kindness

This recently deceased recognizable actor had ups and downs in his career.  His two most famous roles were an early film that captured the political mood of young people and a “comeback” film for him by this A list director who borrows a lot from other filmmakers.  His last role was in a movie which was a follow-up to a TV series.

This actor was a member of an organization for people who are gifted in a particular way.  Part of this organization’s mandate is to provide education assistance for those who fit the requirements of the organization but don’t have the means to better themselves. While the actor was not that wealthy to help out, he did his part in other ways - Through networking, speaking to school officials, acting as an unofficial ambassador.  This allowed many poor gifted students to get a decent education.

Forster*~ Medium Cool the first film(1968)

He completely made "El Camino". His segment was masterful, and I'm glad we got to see him one last time

His character in "Jackie Brown" is one of Tarantino's finest due to his stellar acting talent

E-it was one of his better film imo. Soundtrack was genius/ Forster listening to the Delphonics(Didn’t I Blow Your Mind This Time) was so poignant. He and Pam Grier’s chemistry was so sweeet

I wonder what the organization was?

Tricia--in some ways it's Tarantino's best. Isn't it really the only one with a real male-female relationship at it's center. The film wouldn't be half of what it is without that. Tarantino's best career "resuscitations" (I hate saying that) were Pam Grier and Robert Forster

I agree with the Robert Forster guess. It sounds like he was a lovely, dedicated person.

Again, an enlightening blind. Thanks, Reader!

@Stupidpervs, I understand, I had a female relative that was the same way with Tom Selleck 😅

I'm in the Triple Nine Society! I knew he was, I was hoping to meet him some day, but I've never been to an event.
