Today's Blind Items - The Debt

A couple of decades ago she was an "it girl." Everyone wanted to be her or emulate her. She seemingly had everything going for her. She grew up wealthy which helped get her started. The thing is though, behind the scenes she was miserable. There were a group of people who made her famous. The leader of that group was also wealthy but didn't have access to the family funds. He got an allowance, but he ended up going into serious debt with some of his business ventures and a lot of gambling. He owed nearly a million dollars and his life was being threatened. One day the collector was at his house to get a payment and was inquiring about the younger sister of our gambler who is also now a celebrity. The collector said the debt could be reduced or eliminated if the younger sister was offered up to be used for a year. The gambler said no, but did have another teen not old enough to drive who he could arrange for the collector. That teen was the one who later became the it girl. The teen would do anything for the gambler and he used that to get her to hook up with the collector three times a week for the next year in exchange for reducing the gambling debt in half. Everyone knew what was going on. No one said or did anything.
