Nick Stahl Checks Into Rehab

In a week that saw the wife of Terminator 3 star Nick Stahl file a missing persons report and Nick himself sending out an e-mail to say he was all right and was going to get help soon, the end was pretty good. Nick checked himself into rehab which is a wonderful thing. he did so on Saturday night and his wife confirmed it. Nick had one more huge bender before he did check in which always makes me wonder if the rehab is going to work or not. Before he disappeared he had been going to meetings, but would never call his sponsors and would end up back out on the streets using.

Good for him. I really hope he gets it together. Screw Hollywood and focus on getting better.

I am so incredibly relieved that he is ok, I was literally so worried that he'd be found dead. Stahl is such an underrated actor, he was brilliant in Carnivale-- he made that show for me.

Here's to hoping he has huge blockbuster projects waiting for him when he gets out b/c he totally deserves to be A+++ list!

Thank God he's still alive--as long as he's alive, there's still hope. Hang in there, Nick!

I'm really rooting for him, and am also happy he has checked into rehab. I hope it sticks and he has a long, healthy life and career ahead of him.

I never understood the last hurrah before rehab bender either...smacks of missing the point and treating it as a joke to me.

I am 12 1/2 years sober and went for a last hurrah before I got sober and went into rehab. I wasn't planning on staying either, I needed a "break" from the abuse I was doing to myself. Lucky though I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and told the staff that I was a bullshitter and to not let me get away with shit. They listened, I listened, I go to meetings every week, I have a sponsor, I sponsor... Sobriety is beautiful, I'm glad Nick is giving it another shot. I tried three times before I succeeded. One day at a time Nick, One day at a time.

That's a wonderful MizCaramel. I'm proud of you and congratulations. You are an inspiration. You give hope, hope. I hope you continue with your wonderful life of sobriety and I hope as many people as possible that has the misfortune of getting addicted follow your steps including Nick here.
