An Apology To Life & Style

Last week I kind of gave Life & Style a hard time because they were so generic in their reporting of Katie Holmes possibly dancing on the television show, "So You Think You Can Dance." They made it seem like they were not sure when or if it would happen. If it was this season or next. They didn't have one declarative sentence in the whole thing. But, you know what? They got it right. Almost immediately after I wrote that post, I got texts and e-mails from all sorts of people who said that a certain employee from the show has been running around town telling anyone who will listen that Katie is going to be on the show and that this employee has been saying it for months. So, to Life & Style I apologize, but don't you think next time you could at least stand behind what you are throwing out there and don't worry about covering yourself so much. Who is going to sue you for that or come back to you three months from now and say you were wrong? I don't think people pay that much attention to one or two paragraphs in the middle of a magazine. Even today when they did a follow-up they were still wishy-washy.

I'm guessing the "employee" is Mr. Lythgoe himself. He's a master of p.r. manipulation.

EVERY TIME I SEE A PHOTO OF KATIE HOLMES SHE LOOKS SADDER AND SADDER...WHEN IS SHE GOING TO ESCAPE...

Shazzzba, I don't even have any sympathy for her anymore. I don't think she's trapped, I think she's exactly where she wants to be, and it's pathetic.

why the frick are you apologizing?
they are a tabloid for god's sake.
if they apologized for everything they got WRONG, the magazine would be renamed Lies & Apologies.

You should give L&S a hard time, Enty. They're just another rag. Katie Homes on that show still isn't going to make me watch.

Jax, I totally agree! There's no need for an apology - they were wishy-washy and you called them on THAT. The fact that their defense is that it was SUPPOSED to be wishy-washy because they didn't have any actual facts, well, that's their own damn fault.

That Life & Style CAN get away with having no journalistic standards doesn't mean they SHOULD. Kudos for giving them a hard time, Enty!

can u imagine if the other tabloids started apologizing for everything they got wrong? That would be a fun read.

Oh who cares? Unless Katie is dancing while telling us what a sham her marriage is and who Suri's real daddy is. At this point I'm tired of her.
