Engagement News
Since there are a couple of different engagement announcements today, I thought I would actually post them. First there is Nicole Richie who announced on David Letterman that she and Joel Madden are engaged. The show is scheduled to air on Friday, but the news was released obviously as soon as she said it in front of the audience. Joel confirmed it on his Twitter and said he was very happy. The couple have two kids together and everything seems to be perfect between them. I wonder if this is one of those cases where an actual wedding might not necessarily be the best way to go. Do you rock the boat if everything is going well?
In other engagement news, there are reports that Leo DiCaprio has finally done the unthinkable and asked Bar Refaeli to marry him. Bar was seen wearing a gold ring on her wedding finger. I would have that she would have wanted something a little more flashy, but you never know. I say the first announcement is obviously true, but I have serious doubts about the second one.

The Bar-Leo rumour has already been debunked. I highly doubt Leo will ever marry.
I want to know the REAL reason of him not getting marry. Obviously marriage it's not for everyone but c'mon! Is he gay or does he want to play the field a little more?

Leo...I agree, I don't ever see him getting married. That doesn't mean he's gay. Just means that he is responsibly playing the field as a single man. If only Tiger Woods had taken the same approach, we'd have been spared the whole drama of the last few months.
My money is on the fact that Bar purposely wore a ring to coerce Leo into proposing. Leo should be announcing their breakup any day now...no way will he fall for that trick.

Never thought I would like Nicole Richie, but she did a complete 180 and seems like a nice person and a lot of fun. I love that she distances herself from Parisite so much now, haha.
Anyway, I hope she and Joel last a long time; they seem genuinely sweet to each other and have gorgeous babies.
Could not care less about the stuck-up Bar and boring Leo either way.

Bar has kind of pudgy hands. And I don't know if she wore that ring to get people talking but it looks nothing like an engagement ring in Hollywood. You know she would insist on one that is bigger and shinier than Giselle's!

after having two kids, what is the sense of getting married? Now they decide to commit to one another? If it makes it more secure for the kids okay, but that should have been thought of before you have the kids, too many broken families, screwed-up hollywood kids. They haven't been doing much lately, hope it isn't for the press.
I am very happy babies and Joel made Nicole stop her way down to self-destruction. Anorexia and hard-partying with Paris could lead her to very sad consequences. But it looks like she was able to rise again, to regain her reputation, find sence of living and personal happiness.
I agree, trouble bubble. And after watching her on 'Chuck,' I think she might actually have a decent career as an actress if she wants it.
