Marriage Proposal Was A Hoax
In my post earlier in the week about the marriage proposal at a hockey game, I said I couldn't decide if it was a hoax or not It turns out it was a hoax, but maybe not what you think. I thought it was going to be some people who just wanted some YouTube attention. It turns out they were actually actors hired by the NY Rangers for in game entertainment. Really? They couldn't think of anything better? What it did do though was probably save the world from thousands more of these types of proposals. Guys will really, really think carefully now before asking someone to marry them in front of 15,000 people.
In case you didn't see it previously, the link is below. When I was discussing whether it was a hoax or not with friends, the people who thought it was a hoax said she decided too soon. Those against it being a hoax said she took all her stuff including purse and water bottle which maybe a hoax perpetrator would do.
Oh, in real life the couple is actually engaged.

I'd say no on principle if someone proposed to me that way.

If they are paid actors who are already engaged then this was just a job for them. The fact that people believed it probably makes them feel that they are pretty good actors.
I can't imagine why this gig would be a reflection of their real engagement.
This is the best they can do for entertainment in New York? Somebody with the Rangers needs a talking-to.
These proposals used to be kinda cool, but it's been waaaay overdone. Fellas, (or ladies if you're doing the asking) please think of something else.
Yes, like it was already pointed out, a commenter provided the link back on Tuesday (or was it Monday?). We've known it was a hoax since shortly after it was posted.
Geez - can't they think of something more entertaining? The Flyers have Crazy Dancing Guy. He's much more fun.
They weren't even good actors. I knew it was a hoax immediately. Just look at her face. I guess they'll be "acting" off-Broadway. Like Trenton, New Jersey.
Nobody cares when the lady or gent accepts the proposal. We only care when they get turned down. It was a cheap date way for the Rangers to get some viral PR.
Which, I don't really get cuase who will pay to use the jumbo tron now after that?

I have friends ( um. ok she is my friend...not paid actors) who REALLY had a proposal @ a Cardinals game. She said yes. I wish they would have gotten paid, they could have used the money in their divorce 5 years later.

Thank you, NY Rangers. This "scandal" was covered by my local news last night. And if it saves the world for more of those kind of proposals then AWESOME.
Lol - totally agree. This is the best the Rangers could come up with for in-game entertainment? Weak.
