Casey Anthony Lawyer Now Representing Aruba Murder Suspect
Jose Baez, the attorney who managed to convince a jury that Casey Anthony did not kill her child has now decided to take up the cause of Gary Giordano, who is being held in Aruba while police there run around like Inspector Clouseau and try and figure out how they can make a case against the suspect. They are not going to be able to hold this guy indefinitely and judging by their previous track record at investigation will probably deport him and then he will be sent back to the United States where he will probably be arrested by the FBI when he lands. Jose did not say whether he was going to be representing him while he was in Aruba or if only when he gets back to the US, but I assume it is the US, because Jose probably is not allowed to practice in Aruba.

No juries in Aruban courtrooms to confuse, just a judge. Doubt BAEZ will be able to pull his same BS defense.
It's nothing more than a publicity move by Baez. He uses death to promote himself.
OT, but this reminds me that Rachel Uchitel's attorneys in her suit against the Post and Page Six are Daniel Horowitz and Marty Garbus, the same ones who represented Oksana Grigorieva in her suit against Mel Gibson (and that didn't go well!).

Anyone see "Joan Baez" every time his name comes up? Anyway, I agree with Jenny. Baez is riding his recent fame. Meh, I probably would, too, if I were a lawyer who slept easily at night as he clearly does.
he was an ambulance chaser pre-casey...this new does not surprise me at all.
What is the latest update on that Casey trick??
@Sylvia - The last I heard was a clip from the Dr. Phil interview, where her dad said he thinks she (or her and a helper) drugged Casey so she could go out partying & it was an accidental death.
Baez might go two for two in getting two (guilty) people off.
These are the times when I kinda doubt a civil law attorney is writing these things. Criminal defense attorneys don't excuse their clients but see that their rights are upheld. Baez didn't convince the jury Casey Anthony was INNOCENT, but helped show them the state didn't PROVE HER GUILT. Big difference. Most attorneys who have clients (civil or criminal, and this is in my own professional experience working for them both) realize that a defense attorney doesn't need to believe a client is innocent or guilty, just that there is a client who needs his or her rights upheld.
