Blind Item #2

A very recent picture of a former actor turned politico has many of his supporters asking questions.

Sean Penn?

How is Penn a politico?

This doesn't sound like Cory Booker, but I am enjoying following today's Cory Booker #metoo episode, which is all over Twitter.

Cory met a young man at a political event in 2014, followed him into the men's room, and tried to start a love connection.

The guy said no and has recently been in touch with Ronan Farrow and a high-end Republican lawyer.

MDAnderson said...

Scott Baio??

VikingSong said...

I said Penn because of him pontificating about the Falklands. However, he isn't a politician. So, I'll say Arnold Schwarzenegger instead.

My question is how did Reagan get above ground as a zombie?👻

Sd Auntie said...

Hope its Scott....

Thorne said...

Man, if that's true, Ronan will get to the bottom of it. Even this libtard snowflake thinks Booker is a fraud who cannot win 2020. I'd be glad to get him out of our way ASAP.

Now! said...

Yeah, I voted for Hillary, Obama and even Kerry, but I cannot see myself voting for Booker.

He acted like a fool at the Kavanaugh hearings, and so did Kamala Harris. Bring me Tulsi Gabbard or someone who hasn't (yet) beclowned themselves.

It would be an interesting race if it ended up being Tulsi vs Nikki Haley.

Right now the only places that are picking up the Cory Booker story are the right wing sites, but if there's any truth to this, he probably did this kind of stuff multiple times and more people will come forward. There's something about him that has nothing to do with politics that I don't like/trust. (Also don't like Kamala Harris. I've lived in SF a long time and I know exactly how she got to where she is, and it didn't involve wearing clothes.) Anyway, something is off with Booker! -- https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018/10/breaking-man-steps-forward-with-sexual-assault-allegations-against-sen-cory-booker-with-lawyer-response-to-gateway-pundit/

Now! said...

Yeah, funny about how it's not being picked up anywhere.

I read the guy's 4-page statement, and he's clearly a highly intelligent person. If he's a fake, he's a very good one.

That said, he wasn't physically harmed by Booker, just shocked and disappointed. It was a failed pickup.

No one would care if Booker hadn't just now been doing his church lady act in the Kavanaugh hearings, or hadn't just trotted out that generic middle-aged lady as his "secret" lover.

Thorne said...

I like Kamala. She scares the right people. Even if that's true, I can see with my own eyes how competent she is. Should the accusation arise in legitimate media, I'd be interested to see how she addresses it.
Booker IS a clown and he sounds like Kermit.

Jack Rabbit said...

It's common knowledge that Kamala screwed her mentor for advancement. Nothing but an articulate WHORE. How about we not reward whores who use their pussies to get ahead, diminishing the prospects of a great many competent women who are NOT whores?

PS - the entire alleged Dem field is nothing but bald faced liars, whores, closet case abusers (or in Biden's case, out and proud child molestation) and clowns. The President will wipe the field with any of them.

Sure you did.

@Christina

"There's something about him that has nothing to do with politics that I don't like/trust. "

Yeah, your gut magically trusts all Republicans. Have I got that right?

@Jack

"It's common knowledge that Kamala screwed her mentor for advancement. Nothing but an articulate WHORE"

Whose common knowlege?

I thought you Reichies looooved your whores! Oh wait. She's not a blond anorexic whore on Fox. Nevermind.

@Humor

"Kamela: after the BI that Enty ran, I cannot support her."

And letting a Blind Item determine your vote is soooo smart, lemmetellu.

Christina said...

@plot - Hardly. Proud, registered Democrat here! Just don't like Cory Booker or Kamala Harris in particular.

What happened to Bernie Sanders?
Did Hillary muscle him out of the way?
He looked to me, here in the UK as a potentially great president.

Buddytesla said...

Rumors about Booker being gay have been floating around for months now, but this is the first time I remember hearing anything about him engaging in non consensual behavior.

just sayin' said...

Well, thanks to the Kavanaugh case the right's not going to believe accusers anymore, right? Without proof, as Melania says? Why didn't this guy come forward 4 years ago? He must be lying. Must be a right wing plot to take down Booker. Or wait, I guess men are more believable than women, so maybe it's true?

Christina said...

@Unknown, Yes -- Bernie was my favorite candidate in the last election. This did not sit well with my pro-Hillary friends. I think, but don't know, that one issue with both Hillary and Bernie is that they're just getting too old for the job. Bernie is 77, Hillary is -- just looked it up. Says she's 70. Thought she was older. I thought DiFi was like 70, but looked up her age a few weeks ago and whoa boy, that broad is 85. Pretty damn sharp. Had no idea she was that old!

Cuddlebutt said...

Ugh, Plop is in a mood. Her antagonism is ramped up today. The comment section is going to suck until she's over whatever is ailing her. It's probably menopause.

Christina said...

@Cuddlebutt -- Funny, I thought plot was a dude. I don't post here often enough to know.

plot said...

@Christina

If that be the case, then please keep your gut away from the election process. We don't need guts determining more elections in this country. Smarts, yes, feelings of like or dislike on a personal level is giving us fucking awful politicians all around.

Do Tell said...

Elections are always determined by "who would you rather have a beer with".

Now! said...

Kamala's relationship with Willie Brown, who was married at the time, was not secret. They attended public political events as a couple.

I like female candidates who came up (mostly) on their own - Tulsi, Tammy Duckworth, Tammi Baldwin, Nikki, etc.

Can't stand Kirsten Gillibrand. Ineffective and moralistic.

OB said...

Thank you @Nutty for posting. I sure didn't see this on any news sites this morning...

Hahahahahahaha! Love it!

Kate k said...

Over here it's basically verboten to mention his name. The Hillary people will decimate you. They somehow blame Bernie and his supporters for Trump.

Kate k said...

You make decisions about which politicians to support based on blind items on THIS website?

MDAnderson said...

I like Haley, Tulsi and both Tammies. Gillebrand never bothered me, but Warren has shot herself in the foot and should not run.

Now! said...

I agree that Warren shouldn't run. She's also too old for the job and doesn't have the personality for it. Too angry and scolding.

Gillibrand was Chuck Schumer's mentee. I don't think there's been a suggestion that their relationship has ever been more than professional, but she has her job because Chuck made sure she was the prominent candidate when Hillary left her NY Senate seat.

Christina said...

@plot Oh, don't worry, my gut will be very involved in the election process. You can take your little lectures and go bloviate on someone else.

Unknown said...

I like Turtles....

plot said...

@Do Tell

And look at where that has gotten us. Maybe we should simply have a beer with Reagan, Bushes and Clinton rather than electing them?

@Nutty

"Kamala's relationship with Willie Brown, who was married at the time, was not secret. They attended public political events as a couple."

So? None of that is illegal and purity tests like this for candidates leads us right back to the corruption of the GOP and Trump, because THEY SURE AS FUCK DON'T CARE WHAT THEIR CANDIDATES DO! It's time for Dems to give up their vapors over the personal lives of their candidates.

MDAnderson said...

@Christina

"my gut will be very involved in the election process."

No doubt about it, which is how we got Trump. Thanks for that. The collective gut of the nation is filled with feces.

I concur.

I do hope a good Republican candidate comes around Cuz as a life long Democrat I know she will lose... she lied to many times ...so instead of getting a new demo she's gonna cock block a better candidate just to lose again cuz Demos are done with her bs lies and excuses and her health issues are a problem I have fainted 1 time in my 37 yeare of life she does it like 6 times a year ..she not a viable candidate if she runs demo will lose so thank your own party for picking an equally shity candidate as trump..

When did THAT happen? I'd love to see it, or at least the attempt.

What's the big story then? Booker hit on a guy and was rebuffed? He didn't force himself on anyone, no need for the media to pick up the story. And Ronan Farrow isn't in the business of outing someone just to out them. Most respectable journalists aren't.

I agree with Sara, there is no story. Booker made a pass, pass rejected, he walked away. That's not a story, that's a Friday night at the pub.

Isaac Kappy trolled David Brock at some convention and took a picture with him.

TheBPlot said...

Booker is gay. And if the moment is right and its private enough ive found he will hug good bye for a beat too long. Or scratch my back when a ohito is being taken. And who cares! His mistake was not managing his coming out story. The biggest joke is when he was ‘dating” gayle king.

TruthSayer said...

I see the nutjobs are in full swing trying to brand Kamala Harris as a whore. Good luck with that. All the crazy right wing conspiracy theories in the world didn't derail Obama (twice), and they won't derail her. I do smell some bad news around the corner for Trump though. Mike Flynn, Manafort, Michael Cohen...over 32 campaign associates indicted and the list just keeps growing and growing, hahaha.....

My favorite Cory B moment is when he went to this event with InstAGRAM Poet Cleo Wade and was photo'd lying down in a big pink vagina tent.

"That's not a story, that's a Friday night at the pub."

Except that it wasn't at a pub - it was at this guy's office.

At the pub, or at a bar, people are assumed to be open to romantic overtures from someone they've just met. In the office bathroom, not so much.

I'm a woman, and I wouldn't be too pleased if some man followed me into the unisex loo at work, put his hand on my crotch, and then forced me to my knees with the expectation I would give him a blowie.

That's what this guy says happened to him, and he deserves to be heard just like female accusers deserve to be heard. That's not "outing."

Now! said...

@TheBPlot, you sound like you've met Booker in person.

Not improbable, I'm sure he meets literally thousands of people every year as an active politician.

I agree with you that he should have come out ages ago, but the argument has always been that this would lose him crucial support among the religious portion of the Black voter base. Do you think that argument is valid?

And yeah, the Gayle King thing was dumb, not least because she's 15 years older than him.

I don't know why he didn't find a beautiful black actress or celebrity in his own age group who needed a bit of publicity.

Hey Kate, how about your peaceful Palestinians friends and voting? Hamas are on their 13th year of their 5-year term, and Abbas is on his 15th year of his 5-year term....

Trump will wipe the floor with any Dem. They have done nothing in the last 2 years, but prove to the world what a bunch of anti-democratic, very violent, utterly psychotic and irredeemably fascist turds they truly are.

sugar of lead said...

Truth bored.

plot said...

@bored

If you can sift through your gin haze, what would you call the demands for violence that Trump pulls at his rallies? You know, against the press, Dems, protestors, or anyone he sees as a convenient enemy?

Curious.

TruthSayer said...

Thanks, @plot. I would love to see any evidence @bored has that Democrat politicians are anti-Democratic or fascist. Meanwhile he completely ignores the fact that Trump calls the media "the enemy of the people" and attacks minority populations such as Muslims and immigrants every chance he gets (both tools from the fascist playbook, probably taught to him by his Russian hero and boss).

This is just a tactic Republicans like to pull -- projecting their own flaws onto Democrats as a means of distraction. Then when you ask them about the abundant evidence of their flaws and they go silent. They don't care about logic as long as they can scream out their lies on channels like YouTube and Fox News and brainwash their voters.

Our job is to keep calling them out for their lies whenever possible. It's the only way we can save our democracy from a "leader". The same "leader" who praises the fact that a journalist got body slammed, only a few months after a news office got attacked (leading to multiple casualties) by someone inspired by his words. That is not leadership. That is just irresponsible behavior that encourages more violence. Shameful.

Kamala and cory could f*** half a football team and i wouldn't care, it's the love of corruption and taking corporate bribes that is the problem. Same with pretty much all the democrat and republican politicians with very few exceptions.

@Truth

Yeah, like SCJ Gorsuch lamenting that the US public doesn't understand the judiciary. If the US public understood the judiciary, neither he nor Kavanaugh would be SC judges. I fucking loathe Republicans.

TruthSayer said...

@plot, absolutely. At least they know they will always have a cloud hanging over their heads due to being nominated by a president under FBI investigation (and Kavanaugh with all those sex assault allegations).

Ugh barf barf barf barf - shut up about politics this is a celebrity gossip site Jesus Christ.

Yes I think Booker could lose valuable support in the Black community but I also think they would overlook his gayness - particularly up here in the NE but if he ran for president of the US - then no, he cannot afford to come out, being both black AND gay is too much, unfortunately. I like Cory Booker he seems jolly.

That said - big thanks to @Nutty Flavor for keeping it real with the facts. I would have left this thread only knowing the "failed hookup" narrative without the rather crucial detail of the forced BJ in the office (?!).

If there is a story, Ronan will get to the bottom of it. Holy moly can you imagine every pissed off woman who's been used by a man of power must be emailing the shit out of him and sliding into his DMs like nobody's business. He's probably SWIMMING in abuse conduct and can pick the most valuable one for his own aspirations.

I bought & read his book, "The Death of Diplomacy" and it was very very good, highly recommend. It is not political but more discursive on the historical & current (massively reduced) role diplomacy has taken in foreign policy.

This is how I cleanse my soul of the dramatic IQ hit I assume I take with my fierce fascinatoin with all things celeb gossipy. I'm always embarrassed to tell people and assume my personal credibility takes a hit too.

hunter said...

** I think Black people in the NE would overlook Cory Booker's gayness in favor of his blackness but don't believe it would play well through the American South for a presidential run.
