I was around the time she wore those leather chaps in that music video.
How exactly did her ex get his revenge? Surely he's not responsible for the passage of time or crappy albums she's been putting out.
I think Enty's referring to her ex-husband who's a producer and who helped her for a major part of her career, he was known as a 'nice guy' and she basically fucked him over cheating on him with everything that walked.

I saw her live at her peak, back in her Dirty days, great show and great voice. Black Eyed Peas were her opening act. She hasn’t really done anything that l’ve been interested in since then. Shame, I think if she’d kept to the same formula as her Stripped album and wasn’t so bratty she could’ve been so much more successful. Plus she has a great voice for ballads, I think Beautiful was one of her biggest hits so she could’ve stayed relevant just by dropping a relatable power ballad now and again
She is a great example of wasted talent. Her music wasn't to my taste, but she had excellent vocals and was one of the few female singers that came out the millennium that could actually sing.
