A few months ago, prior to the release of this movie I told you about a fake relationship between two co-stars in this biopic. Apparently the actress in this wants out as her real boyfriend is getting upset and she even started posting photos of the two together. Our actor's people though are really pressing hard to keep the showmance going through award season.

Jeez can't we give these people participation trophies already, they are so desperate for this film to win anything.
This film has earned more than 540 million worldwide, thats a lot of dough. The general moviegoers dont care a hoot who is the director, so its logical to say they wont care if the couple is real or fake!
Does having a girlfriend really influence the way people vote on acting?

There are a lot of young Queen stans who have literally seen the movie over ten times - I kid you not. There are people who have entire instagrams dedicated to ‘Freddie & Mary’ being together IRL (this faux couple). The 13-25 age portion of the fandom with this movie is pretty intense. People making memes out of the guys who played the drummer and the guitarist. It’s not about voting, it’s about publicity and the fandom-attraction to see them together on the red carpet during award season (Malek SO thirsty for the Oscar). Clearly Boynton wants out, not like she’s being nominated for anything. Fox will do what Fox will do. Most ppl are clueless and more than willing to believe the Fox formulated showmance.
