Blind Item #2

At Saturday’s PGA breakfast for that film about the dead A+ list singer, the producer with a royal-sounding last name completely avoided mention of the disgraced A- list director in his prepared remarks.

The new association president deserves recognition for bringing up the subject.  The producer responded with the same old fake story about the director supposedly needing to take care of a sick mother. Of course, all the usual kneepad-type Hollywood reporters simply parroted this fake story.

The real story is that the director was fired,  He was freaking out and not showing up to work, because he was worried about a then-forthcoming article, exposing some of his misdeeds.  One of those anecdotes described an underage-looking boy procured off the streets for a group sex session.  .

Nutty_Flavor said...

Yep, Singer's a creep.

Interesting to watch the Oscar noms this morning. Remember all Enty's blinds about what a mess "A Star is Born" was and how the studio was trying to figure out how to save it?

Guess he wasn't counting on a Best Picture Nom...Best Actor...Best Actress. Wonder who his source was.

notthisagain said...

and now BohemianRhapsody is up for five Oscar nominations

sound editing, film editing, sound mixing, best actor (vomit), best picture (DOUBLR VOMIT)

very sad the Esquire article was spiked or whatever term you use to say the journalistic equivalent of ‘disappeared’

well Bryan Singer won, guys. Thanks ignorant idiots who championed the film.

Nutty_Flavor said...

Actually, I thought of you, notagain, while I was watching "Amadeus" the other day.

I was thinking - would that poster want this fabulous movie to be censored and hidden away because Jeffrey Jones, who plays the Emperor in the movie, was found guilty of child molestation and pornography?

(Jones actually plead no contest; Singer, despite the persistant rumors, hasn't been charged with anything.)

Same with "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". Does that one go down the memory hole too because Jones is a perv?

Nutty_Flavor said...

Just saw that Jones is also in "Beetlejuice".

Another one for the burning books pile?

Pissoff said...

Still waiting on that Esquire article.

BestMan said...

The nominations are bought. Thats how they save it. Why I dont watch anymore. We all know who's buying them...richest pedo out there...Geffen. He stopped the article too.

Keepin It Very Real said...

Another non-blind blind.

As for Singer and the Esquire story: That's the juicy part. Did that story get canceled? And if so, what were the back room machinations?

s.s. said...

Nutty you sound so stupid here...the other poster complains about the Esquire piece being censored, and you go off on a rant about "book-burning"?

No other poster in this thread is talking about censoring anything, except you...

Nutty_Flavor said...

Hi SS. Thanks for your good vibes! Having a good day today? Get laid last night? (My guess is no.)

Notthisagain is suggesting that people shouldn't enjoy Bohemian Rhapsody because of Bryan Singer's rumored misdeeds.

My question is - does that apply to other art made by child molesters?

A lot of ballet companies are going to be sad about having to cancel their annual productions of "The Nutcracker."

Nutty_Flavor said...

(Tchaikovsky, the composer, was into boys.)

Pissoff said...

He just wanted to push in their stool for them.

Someone should leak the Esquire article. Why not, everything else gets leaked.

Well they could start with trying to bring pedos to justice instead of giving them awards.

No one is suggesting that Rami Malek is a pedo, at least not that I've heard.

@Nutty

lol nutty, you're thinking about me IRL outside the internet? wow, I didnt know I had such a secret admirer! thinking about me in your off time, well well well, almost as flattering as when Amazing Quotes became sentient to tell me to fuck off!

I cant watch Ferris Bueller's anymore bc of the creepy principal (who you mentioned), just like I cant watch any of the great movies kevin spacey was in bc he disgusts me. I have never seen Amadeus or Beetlejuice (both made before I was born) and I doubt I ever will, especially with you giving me the heads up - you're such a sweetie. Like a caring internet grandma.

any more pointless points to throw out, or you wanna logoff and go touch yourself thinking about me? ;)

Brayson87 said...

Who gets the best picture Oscar, the producers?

Brayson87 said...

I don't mind Ferris Bueller's too much because Jones' character gets tortured and made miserable the entire movie.

Nutty_Flavor said...

Oh, notthisagain. I usually don't talk to you because you're not very bright, but I was thinking about the larger concept of censorship given the Oscar nominations today.

Anyway, "Amadeus" is a really good movie - a Best Picture winner, actually.

@Brayson, yeah, it's the producers. One could argue that they hired Singer and shouldn't be rewarded for that. But that's a very dangerous Pandora's box to open. Do we really want to start tossing art aside because of the personal misdeeds of the people involved with it?

notthisagain said...

@SS @Brayson

dont bother with nutty, guys. they love to defend bryan singer on here and bohemian rhapsody's success (which helps bryan singer continue to have a career, a point some....are too stupid to get).

filmfanb said...

THere was a blind that said Singer edited the movie.

notthisagain said...

@nutty

tell me more about myself, nutty! ;)

notthisagain said...

@filmfanb

he did edit the film. almost all of it. and you are right, there is a blind about it - even got revealed.

notthisagain said...

@nutty

'Do we really want to start tossing art aside because of the personal misdeeds of the people involved with it?'

LOL, yes actually - 'personal misdeeds' - quite a convenient euphemism you got there considering its a polite stand-in for rape, drugging, violence, molestation. but keep on yelling at the clouds about all those SJWs and snowflakes ruining art because they cant 'separate art from artist'!

Nathan Morgan said...

Can someone link to the blind about Singer supervising editing/post-production? I keep telling people this and I thought it was common knowledge and not just a blind on here.

Nutty_Flavor said...

Yeah, I love "Bohemian Rhapsody."

Great mainstream film with a sympathetic gay lead character. (Not the "funny gay best friend", but the hero.)

Two men affectionately kissing in a movie that's made $775 million dollars so far - and it's still running! What will that mean for gay people's lives in places like Korea and Japan, where the movie is one of the top ticket-sellers of the year?

I'd love to see it win "Best Picture", but I have not seen all the other nominees.

Question - if Bohemian Rhapsody wins best picture, does Singer get an Oscar as well?

drkdragon777 said...

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ARTICLE ENTY??!!

BestMan said...

Re: the article, it was shelved. Had to be blackmail or major payoff. Id say millions. The only millionaire pedo directly related to Singer is Geffen, at least, by others.

Aquagirl said...

@Shakey, no. If BH wins best picture, the Producers get the award.

Nutty_Flavor said...

@BestMan

It could also be that the sourcing on the article didn't stand up. When you have a piece making a major accusation like that, it has to be airtight.

I think that's how they got rid of the guy who was suing Singer a few years back. A couple of details and dates were off, and that made him less credible.

Brayson87 said...

@Nutty, is it really a good thing to have a movie with two men kissing associated with a pedo? Then again in many of the gay intolerant countries pedophilia is accepted so maybe it's actually bringing in that audience.

Smalls said...

I seem to remember many blinds absolutely railing on A Star is Born. That LG was terrible, they had to reshoot a lot of scenes. All sorts of stuff. But here we are. So, was Enty('s source) wrong or did they just pay enough?

Brayson87 said...

Stupid people love giving pedos their money and children, it's one of the mysteries of life.

Nutty_Flavor said...

@Brayson, 98% of the people who see the movie won't associate it with Singer and his sins.

I don't think it makes sense to have the perfect be the enemy of the good. It's a good flick with a positive message.

Sal T said...

I wonder if there ever was an article or was it (as been suggested in the comments on here) just a ploy to find and pay off any other victims who were thinking of coming forward. Has the article ever been mentioned anywhere else except here and by Singer himself?

cc423 said...

So we should just look the other way when talented people molest children so that we can benefit from good movies... what a sick concept.

That woulda made me laugh if it wasn't so true, Singer and Co. LOVE to write little nuanced mkultra peripheral ques into their movies like that. It's a psychological device that the conscious mind doesn't pick up or rationalize but the subconscious mind does.

Yeah so I'm sure NOONE at the awards banquet brought up the fact that both Bryan Singer and Ian McKellan have an OVERT fascination with Nazi's and their sexual proclivities. I'm thinking the both of them know and understand, right along with Kevin Spacey, the sick and twisted sexual and occult world the Nazi's had going for them back in the Third Reich. I think Kevin got to experience that first hand by his abusive Nazi father and Singer shows it according to the rumor that he like to take any foreign object near him and shove it aggressively up the anus of his victims.

http://www.thepinkswastika.com/

I think all three of them know and understand PEDERASTY, rape and the ritual abuse of children is practiced by the elite and has been for a very long time and are emulating those behaviors.

AkhaldanSolo said...

notthisagain said...

just like I cant watch any of the great movies kevin spacey was in bc he disgusts me.

You think THAT disgusts you, Google Kevin Spacey as Jim Bakker the televangelist. It is SOOOO gay.

I'll bet there's a porno out there of Spacey in costume emulating the late con artist.

AkhaldanSolo said...

Oh wait Bakker ain't dead he's still out there selling Buckets O' Food

Brayson87 said...

@Sal T, I often wondered about that theory, makes sense. Supposedly it's what they deliberately did with that lawsuit years ago, beat the bushes for any dangers.
It was strange with Esquire, with that type of article usually they consult legal before pursuing investigation too far to make sure they're protected.
To be honest, Esquire always seemed closeted and somewhat pedo to me, I was surprised they were pursuing that investigation. I haven't looked through it in a while but it was pretty obvious what demographic they were pursuing and it wasn't just fashionable men. Like how many half naked male models did they have on all their ads, page after page, and not a woman in sight.

Why she doesn't wear blinders at all times, and stuff her ears with cotton, to guard against the risk of ever seeing or hearing anything associated even remotely associated with one of her precious pedos is a mystery.

Kimberlini said...

Of course Graham King wouldn't talk about Singer. Of course there is a prepared explanation for his absence. The studio and talent don't want the focus on a pervert instead of their film. Makes sense to me. And leave Graham alone...I love him.

Brayson87 said...

@Kim, Well then maybe they shouldn't have hired a pervert to direct. If you don't want to talk about a pervert then don't put him in charge of your movie.

I actually saw BoRhap this weekend (not my choice) and boy did it suck! Very thin storytelling, way to many long music sequences instead of going in depth with the characters, and with Rami doing the exact same role (the only role he seems to be able to do) as in Mr Robot, with the starry coke eyes, except it looked like he had sugar cubes in his mouth the whole film. SUCKED!

ooo you guys are AT IT here eh?

I'm with Nutty_Flavor 100%.

I'm entirely willing to concede Michael Jackson (for example) was absolutely a hebephile (prepubescent boys) and abused at least eight of them for many years, grooming them YEARS in advance from the tender age of five in some cases.

I'm also happy to say he was super talented and created amazing music which I still enjoy thoroughly.

All these people walking away from entertainment are only shooting themselves in the foot.

You can condemn an action while appreciating one's art - it does not make us monsters.

Amartel said...

Art. Please. This is business and it's a failing one because they've forgotten about the customer. Entertainment has gotten a lot less entertaining and that's a problem. This is in part due to the expansion of the market overseas and diversification of the home market but it's also a industry-wide failure of imagination. See, all the reboots and jackings of entertainments from prior generations which is stepped up to levels never seen before. ASIB coming back for yet another pass. Etc. Critics are more focused on ideology than on art and actual entertainment value. Comedy is suspect. Tragedy is farce. Heros are ironic. Or Super. Villains are heros. Same old tropes recycled over and over and over. There are still some really great shows and a few good movies but it's the exception not the rule.

GentleBreeze said...

Amadeus and Immortal Beloved. Have them both on 8-track. Is that what it's called? Anyway big tapes. Beethoven's laying in the pond looking into the sky...with the 5th/9th playing. Holy Christ. Sublimation.

Yeah, Beethoven was verboten by the Nazis during WII.

Adrastia said...

It's up to the individual to decide if the people involved in a piece of media are reprehensible enough to warrant not consuming it. Don't push it on others or expect them to boycott things they love because some people involved in making those things are perverts and pedophiles.

I still love The Cosby Show. Cliff Huxtable is a character. He is not real and is simply a role that Bill Cosby played. I understand if it makes some people uncomfortable. Those people should not watch the show. The same with Bohemian Rhapsody, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, R Kelly's music ect...

People are perfectly capable of recognising that the individuals in question are not good people. It's just that it's perfectly feasible to be able to draw a line between fact and fiction.

Also remember that a film doesn't just consist of actors and directors and producers. There's a whole crew of working joes involved as well. You'll see their names in the credits. Without them the film wouldn't be possible. It's not all about how some people were pedos. Things shouldn't be censored or locked away because of the Bryan Singers of the world. You can recognise the bad without totally destroying what is still good.

Kimberlini said...

@brayson87 It's complicated when it comes to who is hiring whom on a big studio picture. Graham was attached to the project for YEARS but he wasn't the one putting up the big bucks. From the sounds of it, Singer was barely in charge when he was acting as director. It's amazing the film turned out as well as it did with the chaos on set.

Kimberlini said...

As Adrastia said, a film is a collaborative effort which means the end result can still be successful despite trials and tribulations along the way.

ron hobbs said...

I've been always told , "Love the art- not the artist". I love Miles Davis' music , but by all accounts he was not a nice man, especially to women.

ron hobbs said...

I've also heard Singer is a Zionist, which would conflict with his love of Nazis. He had a scene in one of the X-men movies showing Magneto destroying Auschwitz with his powers. Always seemed like wish fulfillment to me.

Depeche Model said...

I think nutty raises a very important and philosophical question.

To reiterate Adrastasia's point: mobs who display a gang mentality when it comes to boycotts tend to move in the territories of Nazism. There is no freedom, where there's group pressure.

Of course I would never defend pedophiles, I believe they should be castrated or put down. Having said that, if people started to boycott every person who in their view, has engaged in sexual deviance, then there would be no films no music, no museums, no art, no books and we'd live pretty much in the dark ages - ironic because people in the dark ages married 10 years olds!

It's a very disturbing puritan trend that only has reverse effects: take a devout muslim who complains about the disgusting western way of life, the sodom and Gomorrah of our degenerated cultures. Meanwhile he comes from a culture that worships a pedophile, where raped women get lashed and executed and where children are abused by the tens of millions. A culture that contributed absolutely nothing to humanity, and which would not be missed by the rest of the world, if it did not exist.

So tread carefully, peasants with torches and pitchforks....while you are screaming moral superiority and pious ethical behaviour, you are in danger of allying yourselves with the actual worst of humanity.

Angela said...

There isn't any actual secret about Bryan Singer supervising the editing of Bohemian Rhapsody. It's his absolute right, even if he was fired during production. He shot at least 90% of the footage, so there's a clause in the DGA statuses that grants directors the right to put together their cut. The studio definitely didn't want to publicize this fact for good reasons, but it wasn't ultimately their choice

Admitted this was ancient Islam but being all inclusive in your statement makes it easy to refute. Islam contributed a great deal

To be completely honest about it, the advances of Christianity are now many centuries old as well. Neither religion is doing much for the world currently, as a whole.
