I have her on my mind since I watched The Umbrella Academy this weekend. It was pretty good.

Walsh had her own network show with Private practice. was in Thirteens reasons why and umbrella academy. Both of which she was good in.
Coming out is miserably nerve wracking. It doesn't seem like it would be. But for some, especially a certain age, it really is.
Kate Walsh was kind of outed by her ex husband. She has hinted at it,but let's face it, she wants work.
Hollywood is such a stupid conudrum. Full of gay people telling us we all need to be accepting of alternative lifestyles, yet, the closet is a popular place. It is hard (for me at least) to suspend reality when an openly gay actor or actress is playing straight. NPH almost pulled it off in the movie, "Gone Girl" but it was still hard to buy that he would have sex with a woman.
Moss isn't from a network show (HBO is pay cable). I think this is Walsh.
I feel you tiny dancer. I don't see NPH ever getting the lead romantic role again thought after How I Met Your Mother (as he was outted I think after he already got the part). But, yah, the hypocrisy is amazing in Hollywood, but, at the end of the day the studios are only interested in making money and they know people can be cool with LGBT community, but, when it comes to suspending disbelief as what entertainment calls for, it is hard to so do when one knows such intimate details about an actor's/actresses life. I don't think it matters so much for "character" actors though, but, mainly for lead roles.
Also, another reason why studios do not actually like it when actors/ actresses get super political. It today's time it is so easy to go and find another movie, tv show with an actor with zero baggage in the lead instead. People still want the fantasy.
Uh she’s obviously gay. I cannot imagine anyone would look at her and think she’s straight 🤷🏼♀️

What you said. Some out people just say that they would rather play themselves. Consider Jodie Foster. I will go and see her films because she's a great actress, but when I saw her in a romantic role where she kisses a man there was absolutely no chemistry. Spectacularly miscast.
I want someone to tell me what alternative lifestyles has to do with sexuality and how has Hollywood been pushing them. 50 Shades of Gray would be an alternative lifestyles, but other than that where is the big push coming from?

@unknown —- alternative lifestyle is a polite, somewhat old fashioned way of saying “gay”. It’s what my godmother used to say and she died at 90 several years ago. Google it.
